Singer-songwriter KT Tunstall‘s stunning new album Invisible Empire // Crescent Moon is her first release in the U.S. on Blue Note Records.

IECM represents both a return to the delicate simplicity of the multi-platinum artist’s early work and an evolution of her sound. IECM’s country-folk tinged undercurrents grew out of KT’s decision to travel to Tucson, Arizona ... Read more in Amazon's KT Tunstall Store

About the Artist

Sometimes it is best not to ask why. The world might never have had the chance to embrace KT Tunstall if a last-minute slot didn't open on a British music show. Her breakout performance propelled her into a public eye hungry for confessional lyrics and soulful vocals, which KT's debut album delivered in spades. Her songs--of triumphs and failures, love and loss--burst with a charming appeal that can only be called astronomical.

Product Description

KT's lilting mix of pop and folk embodies a gentle purity of the soul. Bluegrass music is also a pure exploration of music and emotion. This tribute takes KT's acoustic essence and adds a rural twist. Mandolin, banjo, and fiddle create an easy breeze of warm, nuanced performance. Sweet vocal harmonies lift KT's lyrics into a newfound heaven. Put your eye to the telescope. This tribute promises to be a bright star.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great tribute to K. T. Tunstall's music. June 18, 2007
Format:Audio CD
I received this CD a couple of days ago and have already played it a dozen times; it is that good. Bluegrass fiddles, banjos, dobros and mandolins lend themselves very well to KT's music. Jennifer Dixon does the vocals on this tribute album and does an excellent job. Her voice is perfectly suited for KT's lyrics. If you are a K.T. Tunstall fan, as I am, you will not be disappointed in this beautifully done tribute album.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bluegrass alternative October 5, 2009
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I first heard a couple of songs by her on hidef TV. Was very pleased and soon ordered the original version and this one, as I like bluegrass. While this is very good, I must confess I prefer the original version. But from a stickly bluegrass point of view this one is worth a listen, and many will likely prefer this one... Great voice, sonically it is excellent, with good presence. Excellent recording.
