This is a nice scrub I use intermittently with the body wash. I think it really helps dry out my skin. I'm 32 and have always had issues, particularly at certain times of the month. This clears up most of my problem areas and gets anything that does arise out of here sooner.

Shame on you for allowing microbeads in your product(s). And don’t insult my intelligence by stating that you didn’t know they would be a danger to the environment. Where did you think these microbeads would end up? These micro-particle polyethylene beads, which are less than 1mm in diameter and designed to be washed down the drain, are polluting lakes and the oceans. Fish who swallow them are not getting the nutrition they need to live a healthy life, thus impacting the whole food chain. Many companies, including L’Oreal, The Body Shop, Colgate-Palmolive, Unilever, Johnson & Johnson and Procter & Gamble have agreed to phase out them out. But no one is asking the question … How in the world did you ever think these microbeads would be a good thing? It’s shameful. Avoid products with polyethylene as one of its ingredients. Microbeads have been put in facial scrub products, bath gels and toothpastes. For further information, simply put the words microbeads and pollution in your favorite search engine.

This wash is exactly what i have been looking for. I use it in the morning, not only is it refreshing but the exfoliating beads are soft on the skin and gently removes dirt and oils. I can easily use by lotion afterwards without worrying about dryness or even oiliness.

This product clearly does harm to the environment and it is unethical to sell or buy it. I am hopping angry that The Body Shop, a supposed "good guy" company founded on environmental awareness, is selling product which kill fishes by clogging their gills with these plastic microbeads (polyethylene). Once you rinse the scrub off your skin and wash it down the drain, it goes right into the waterways. The particles are so tiny they get past waste treatment plants and into our streams, rivers and oceans. For fish it is a wretched way to die (suffocation) and if that weren't enough (putting compassion aside), these microbeads never break down, do not go away, replace living material with plastic. There are plenty of products which accomplish the same scrubbing action but don't use microbeads. A case in point is Queen Helene's Pomegranate and Raspberry Scrub. Apricot scrubs often do not contain polythylene because the shell of the apricot is used as as the exfoliant. So there is no reason at all to hurt our fisheries and water quality. Nor is there any reason for The Body Shop to continue selling products which contain a known biohazard. The Body Shop is not the only company guilty of using polyethylene but they have promoted themselves as environmental stewards and advocates.
