I was really excited when Rachael Ray first plugged her book on her talk show a few months ago. I eagerly awaited its release and was very excited when it finally arrived. I was ultimately disappointed with the content.

Rachael Ray has excellent burger recipes. I watch her talk show every day hoping for a burger recipe. What I didn't realize is that all of the burger recipes I had printed out from her talk show website would be included in this book. Most of the recipes have appeared on the show. I had already printed out the ones I liked. So I just spent $20 for something I already had. There are a few in the book that I was unaware of that look good. I have yet to make them so I can't comment.

I also read a review on Amazon that the book contained few pictures. I paid no attention to this criticism as I thought I'd be ok with that. I'm not. I would like more pictures.

Overall I was disappointed as a lot of these recipes are repeats of what has aired on her talk show. But I guess if you don't watch her show, you'll love this book as they are fantastic burger recipes.

I expected to find a LOT of burger recipes in this book.
However, there were just a lot of burger TOPPING recipes,
not actual recipes to mix IN the burgers. I was very
disappointed and sent it back.

I got this book from the library to see what I'd think and what a great plethora of burger choices! made the Bahn Mi burger and it's wonderful! ground pork w/ham added! oh my! and then the matchstick veggies which you pickle yourself. very very good. love the variety. am on Amazon site now to purchase my own copy so library can have theirs back. :)

Do NOT get a Kitchen Aid meat grinder attachment as suggested in the book. The KA one is a total piece of junk. I cannot imagine how they think you can grind meat with it. Read more
