Format: Hardcover
This is a nicely bound, presentation quality book. It is jam-packed with lush, gorgeous photographs (kimchi porn... who knew?!). The authors are native Koreans, all university professors, so it would seem this would lend the book the same kind of credibility we might offer a book on canning written by Home Economics professors from our American land-grant universities. The book contains encyclopedic knowledge of everything you might ever want to know about kimchi, from its history and cultural traditions to explanations of ingredients and a variety of recipes. It is written in a clear, easily understandable style. If you wanted to learn about kimchi, this seems like an excellent book to start with.
