The Border by America was their last top 40 hit in 1983. Dewey Bunnell sing lead and co-wrote the song with Russ Ballard. It peaked at number 33 on the Billboard singles chart, 27 on the Radio & Records singles chart, 34 on the Cashbox singles chart, and number 4 on the Adult Contemporary chart.
