This is a fabulous book, filled with delectable recipes from Boston's best chefs and restaurants. Arranged by season, presumably to allow you to use fresh and local ingredients in your own kitchen, there are fascinating pairings or chef and farm bios along with recipes like BBQ pork ribs, rissotto verde, rhubarb upside down cake, vermont quail, matsutake salad, the list goes on. The recipes range from simple to complex, which lets you find something to cook no matter how much or little time you have. And beyond the recipes, the chef profiles are a great read. Jason Bond of Bondir, Ben Maleson the mushroom man, and Jody Adams of Rialto are just a few of the Boston locals explaining how they got into what they love, and why local food and sustainability matter to them.

I'd recommend this wonderful book to all Bostonians and others who like a good read and fabulous food ideas!

Beautiful cookbook. Support your local farmer. The farm I volunteer at is featured in this book and I'm so proud of the change that my home (Boston area) has gone through just in recent years alone. Local food just used to mean lobsters and chowder!!!
