This review is from: The Boy Who Loved Dumplings (Paperback)
This book can be seen as a younger version of Yoko. Jimmy makes dumplings at home with his grandmother, but his friends at school make fun of his unfamiliar lunch. One day, he brings in extras and share them with all of this classmates. They liked them! The story ends with Jimmy regularly bringing extra dumplings to school, so he can share them with his friends.
The illustrations show children from different backgrounds. My copy of this book is a big book from the MacMillan Whole-Language Big Books Program. I recommend this book for all preschool teachers and librarians. |
