Immaculee Ilibagiza a wonderfully talented writer. She is also an angel on this earth. I am in the middle of reading this book and I find I have to frequently put it down because the story she tells is so deep and compelling. In 1982 I was nursing my first baby and in Africa our Blessed Mother was sending us messages! And Jesus was showing His glorious face and sharing His messages with a young, uneducated pagan boy (no disrespect intended, only to demonstrate how extraordinary the story really is). How can this be true? It seems so hard to understand and I am counting of prayer and faith to help me. The book is beautifully written and full of messages of love and forgiveness. I find myself praying alot so that I can take this message in, and praying that the fears I have will be dispelled.

WOW! This book is truly amazing! From the first page to the last, I was captivated by this wonderful story! Not only was I inspired and challenged to come to know and love Jesus better, I was also amused at the innocence of this pagan boy and his boldness in talking to Jesus Christ. I found myself crying and laughing and most of all feeling so much LOVE from Jesus. I recommend this book to ANYONE who believes in heaven. Buy it and ENJOY...you are loved!

The most important message that Jesus wanted Segatashya to tell people is as follows:

"My child, tell all those who don't believe in the messages being delivered into Kibeho that they should worry only about believing and following what is in the Bible....and they must believe and follow what is in the Bible with all their hearts....I will find the hearts of everyone who believes in me and follows my commandments--no matter which religion they belong to....I will look across the entire world for those who honor my commandments and love me with an open and sincere heart....it is their love, not their religion, that makes them true children of God."

Jesus even tells Segatashya, who was a pagan when Jesus first began to speak with him and later became a Catholic, that God is only ONE being, and therefore many of the people who pray to certain pagan gods WILL reach him in that way, since he is the ONE true God. (I find this teaching surprising coming out of a basically Christian setting, and I'd tend to think it is a message that might greatly upset the various leaders of particular religions who think that their religion is the only true way to reach God, not to mention the fact that Christian religions have tended to see the pagan gods as being sometimes demonic spirits.)

In trying to explain to his pagan parents about who this Jesus is, Segatashya describes Jesus' great Love as an outstanding feature: "His power is wonderful and terrifying, but so is the power of his love. He loves every person in the world with a force greater than the heat of the sun or strength of a thousand waterfalls. He created this world and everything that is in it....

The author begins the book with a recap of the noted visionaries of Kibeho--Alphonsine, Nathalie, and Marie-Claire. From there, she proceeds quite succinctly with the life story of a boy named Segatashya. Don't miss this recapitulation of Segatashya's encounters with Jesus and His Mother, Mary. Segatashya, a simple child of profound innocence and with complete lack of formal education, asks Jesus questions even the most learned would like to ask and perhaps dare not. He shares the answers.

Immaculee's newest work of faith provides words on which to grow your faith in Jesus and His infinite plan of wisdom for the salvation of mankind. The visionary Segatashya, is a converted pagan to the Catholic faith. Segatashya dared to ask Jesus, "Why were we created?", "Why must we suffer?", "When will the world end?", "Is there life after death?" Jesus charged this young man to share with the world that He is coming soon. Mankind must confess their sins and love one another as He loves us. His mercy is ours for the asking. How prepared are you to see His glory and be held accountable for your life?! Don't leave yourself with the thought, If I had only listened!

This is a great story.....It shows a lot of how Jesus loves each and every person on this earth. There are points in the book that don't talk about the time that the boy spent with Jesus but this is only to show the reader other things that the boy was dealing with after (such as how his family had to move because of all the people that would show up). It also shows the reader how the non-believers reacted to a person who never learned to read or write but was able to preach verses from the bible.
