This show has an intelligent plot that as an adult I found compelling and yet my 9 year old daughter had no problem following it. After every episode we both couldn't wait to start watching the next one. Too many shows that start out success keep going on season after season, long past it's prime. This show started with the premises that it would be 3 seasons and they stuck to that. The only thing I didn't like is how sad I felt when I realized after watching the amazing last episode that it was truly over.

I've owned all three seasons of Avatar: The Last Airbender on DVD for years, since they were released. I absolutely adore this series and now that it's on instant video, I think my life is complete.

This is easily one of THE BEST animated series you will ever watch. Beautiful animation, great characters, and an incredible storyline make it worth watching over and over. It's family friendly, and yet teens and adults will appreciate the deep plot and brilliant humor. I simply cannot reccommend this series enough!

I was hooked on this show. It's brilliantly created and is guaranteed to captivate the entire family. It really does have something that everyone will appreciate. The show flows seamlessly and gets better and better with each episode. Everything from the art to the music is fantastic. The only issue is that once you finish it, you'll be sad that it's over!

This is one of the best TV kids show of all time. What I love most about the show, is that every episode has it's own hidden message about ethical behaviour, and encourages kids to bring out those values, based on the stories. Great human qualities such as bravery, righteousness, honesty. Don't get me wrong, the kids aren't perfect, yet they are always learning from their own experiences. What makes this truly wonderful to watch, is the kids growing up without parents. Yet, they hold on to the little parenting experiences in the past, that they use these values as a strong foundation. You get to see them learn about love, cheating, helping others, fighting for a peaceful existence... Gotta love this! Toph is definitely my favorite character!

I think just about anyone can watch this rich and creative series, enjoy it, and think on it. I believe that The Last Airbender is characterized by fantastic and "simple/clean" animation; wonderful dialogue; beautiful scenary/backgroundl great voicing/actingl solid character and universe development, and innovation and consistentcy through the 3 books. I saw innovation and consistency though the series because it never gets old - there's always something new and surprising yet despite the fact that the there are 3 books involving many teams, there are no weird/unusal changes/inconsistencies. The voices and expressions match beautifully - in this series, you really connect to everything about the characters. The episode where the series pokes fun at characters is hilarious too (through a play during Season 3). The music and noise effects are great too. They complement rather than detract.

The characters are flawed but that makes them so realistic and when they go through hardships and growth, you can empathsize as well as feel hope and victory. The series beautifully blends types and themes such comedy, spirituality/mythology, adventure, coming-of-age, romance, sci-fi/fantasy, martial arts, politics, war, relationships at all levels (global, nation, community, individual). I liked everything, especially the nature/spirituality themes, the fluid martial arts, and the laughter. These topics are timeless.

I have lots of adjectives, but it's that kind of series. Give it a shot and watch it with your kids or friends. Definitely stands up there with other hero stories. It's not as dark as some others - there is death, anger, betrayal and the dark forces...There are people just being pretty awful to each other and to nature but there are darker stories for kids. And the series is so fun that the moments of darkness blend in to the adventure. I was instantly addicted and I'm don't watch much anime/anime-influenced animation.

Avatar is one of my favorite anime series out there. The characters and storyline are pretty awesome, and the humor is spot on!

I own the entire 3 part box set of this show and it is truly one of the better shows to grace the airwaves in a long time. It is educational, witty, graphically appealing, entertaining and truly one to add to your faves collection. There are no age boundaries when it comes to enjoying this show; my 14 year old loves it as much as I do (I'm 53!) I am also looking forward to the follow-up series, "The Legend of Korra" that has been rumored to air on Nickelodeon soon.

I loooove this show! It has innocence but it also has a plot that anyone of any age can follow. As a 23-year-old female, I can honestly say, this is one of my favorite go to shows. I don't like to waste my time on mindless reality TV and have important things like graduate school to worry about. This show is just good.

The last airbender is a step above in televised animation in terms of adventure and story telling. The premise is pretty creative, and the characters are fantastic. Catch up on this series before The Legend of Korra comes out!

The start one of the best animated series begins here. A simple episode which lays out the course of the grand plot. I'll admit I've rewatched the series, but I usually skip the first few episodes.
