By 1980s music
This is one of my favorite songs, and a classic 80s song! I especially love the instrumental part in the beginning (the first 30 seconds or so). This is a great song to play while driving. The video reminds me of the heyday of MTV, when they actually still played music videos most of the time. I really miss those days!

When iyt came down to The Eagles and their solo work, Don Henley was the most successful. Not just with great songs, but he put heart and soul into his words and voice brilliantly. No other example is more perfect than his massive hit The Boys Of Summer from his sophmore album Building The Perfect Beast. The song is still just as classic today, as it was when it was released nearly 30 years ago. I love how driven the song still remains after all this time. Don Henley definitely made a great song. Yet, I was not amused when The Ataris covered the song in 2003. But, Don Henley's will always remain number one. If You have not even yet heard the song, download it for your music library.

Great song!!!
Just one of those songs that stick with you. Reminds me of my childhood. Use it as an alarm song, starts quiet and slow and never gets old.

Not crazy about it

Great song from a great album
I believe this to be one of Don Henleys best songs and this album is terrific! I recommend this album to any Eagles fans out there :-)

Fun Classic
