At last a book that gets to the point of things!! I am a massage therapist and fan of The Bra Book. I had a client who I referred this book after she was have much upper back pain. She read the book and then went to a store to get measured. She was sooo surprised when she found out her size she was use to was sooo off. Now she is pain free and so happy with the results. Thanks so much for the helpful info. A great gift for the holidays.

Jene Luciani really knows her bras. Having read this book, I finally feel like I understand how to choose a bra that fits my body size and shape properly. The author's expertise on bra fitting, evident in her much-needed clarifications on how bra sizing really works, is one of the book's major strengths.

Luciani's voice is engaging, and her dry sense of humor provides necessary levity. This is, after all, a book about underwear! The text strikes an effective balance between entertainment and education.

Women blessed (or cursed?) with "mountains" -- Luciani's delightful term for large breasts -- will find this book especially helpful. Her chapter on "molehills" is less comprehensive, and as an A-cup I found myself wanting more information and advice on finding bras to fit my curve-challenged figure.

Overall, The Bra Book is a fun read and an excellent reference guide. If the book came in a smaller size, I'd stick it in my purse and take it along on bra shopping trips!

While I wasn't expecting to be completely blown away by 'ah ha' revelations, I found little that was new in this book. I was disappointed that it contained much content recycled from other sources, and a lot of 'self advertizement' for the author's own company (I'm sure they have wonderful products, and I will check them out, but still...)

I haven't seen the physical book but it was obvious by the seemingly haphazard formatting that it wasn't reformatted for electronic consumption (at least on a Kindle). Side panels, tips and tricks, images and associated descriptions were hard to follow. And the constant switching from left aligned to centered, initially thought to be showing different sections, just ended up appearing to be random. Missing spaces, typos, truncated text all detracted from a smooth reading experience. Even after adjusting my reading font size to a smaller size (which improved a few things but of course made it harder for me to read), it just wasn't worth it.

The scary thing about this is I happened upon the book as a result of watching an episode of "Mad Fashion" which was about the author having a grand launch party for the electronic release of this book! I thought that implied some effort to actually make an electronic rendition.

All I can say is that it was barely worth the $3.00. If you want this book, I suggest you look at the physical version.

While the writing style is fun and not intimidating, the level of information given is extremely basic, so you won't get anything out of this book if you're an experienced bra researcher/shopper.

I would go so far as to say the "how to find your bra size" chapter was leading women in the wrong direction because it still promotes the outdated rule of "add 4-5 inches to your underbust to get your band size!" Before back pedaling and saying that doesn't work for a lot of women. She also mentions Victoria's Secret pretty frequently in the same breath as solutions for busty women. As a 32H, the "help" I've gotten from VS salesgirls over the years leads me to believe they ride the short bus to bra fitting school.

The formatting and editing errors are also kind of annoying, I'm probably going to try to return this book.

This review references the Kindle edition. The actual content of the book was good, but the formatting errors were very distracting. I ended up stopping about half way and returning the book. In the section describing body types one was listed as "rectangle/bawawa" It should have been "rectangle/banana". Words are run together; "continued on" became "continuedon". Most of these seemed to be in one section of the book. I really wanted to like it, but couldn't get past the errors.

The information provided in this book is interesting and useful. However, in the Kindle version, there are so many typos that it is distracting and frustrating to read. There are words spelled incorrectly, spaces missing or over used, many incorrect verb tenses and multiple places where the page formatting makes it difficult to follow. I can only assume that the actual book is better than this. If you're really interested in the topic buy the book and skip the Kindle version.

As a long time Personal Shopper and Beauty and Fashion Blogger, ([...]), I am constantly presented with bra challenges. Jene Luciani's book is a God send! It provides a complete overview of every type of bra and how it is best worn and when. It's informative and entertaining! I will be leaving a copy in my office, so my clients will have something fun and factual to read, while I am dashing out to find other selections and sizes.

Now when my clients and readers ask me, "what kind of bra will I need to make this work"?, I will be able to answer them with authority instead of guess work.

This would make a perfect Secret Santa gift for the Holidays!
