5.0 out of 5 stars The Bracken Anthology November 28, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
A no-brainer offering from Bracken. "CW2 Cube" & "When the Music Stops" by themselves are worth at least twice the list price.

"CW2" discusses the socio-economic divides in the nation and what this may mean for individuals during a collapse or austerity scenario - very informative.

"When the Music Stops" examines the implications of a disruption to entitlements (whether through austerity cuts, or perhaps even a grid disruption) and what this will mean for the "producers" and "consumers" in society.

Both examine some very grim, but very real, possibilities.

Well worth the price. Get it now.

5.0 out of 5 stars SHOULD BE REQUIRED READING FOR ALL AMERICANS December 23, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The author is a former Navy Seal with a TOP SECRET security clearance and field experience. The essays and short stories in this book highlight the fragile situation America is now in. I'm a History/Political Science guy myself with a lot of street experience on a high crime PD. This book is basically a series of warnings about bad times ahead that most of my experienced police buddies agree are probable. Every American needs to read it regardless of their political orientation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Frightening glimpse into what may be December 8, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Bracken's writing style is a breath of fresh air. He doesn't assume his readers are morons, he speaks as though to a friend. Chillingly prophetic, though.
