4.0 out of 5 stars A nice story about human nature and AI September 7, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
ThThis is a nice short story about the inventor of artificial intelligence. The new Brain 0.4 has the ability to complete amazingly complex calculations instantly, and to use deductive reasoning to give new insight into research projects. Unfortunately, they forgot to give it a course in Social Intelligence.

This is a nice story. It makes you think about the nature of intelligence, and to recognize the importance of other types of intelligence than pure logic - including emotional intelligence and social intelligence.

2.0 out of 5 stars Brain......less? November 25, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I admit that I did look to see what else the author wrote, but to be frank unless it was free I wouldn't read it. The story seems like a huge potential, teases the reader with the thought that this machine might predict some life altering ending. Instead, the story deflates like 13 day old party balloon and goes nowhere. What a disappointment. Even worse, the ending is "the beginning" of someone else conceiving the same machine - it makes no sense at all.

2.0 out of 5 stars Start off good, but never does... January 29, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Starts off with a good story premise, but then abruptly ends and what follows is just samples for other books. I am quite glad I didn't pay for this, don't waste your time.
