Book Description

Cedric grew up poor and honest on a pumpkin farm, and dreamt of becoming a knight. One day he showed his courage by tricking a would-be carriage thief, and earned the chance to make his dream come true!
After years of training, Cedric set off to find an adventure of his own by battling a fire-breathing dragon to save a prince and a princess. However, it was after the adventure that Cedric revealed that he'd like to marry the prince, and not the princess.
The Bravest Knight Who Ever Lived is a modern fairytale which sets out to prove that sometimes the bravest thing you can do is choose for yourself how your fairytale ends!

5.0 out of 5 stars The future of fairy tales March 26, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
"That isn't how it ends" says Cedric. This lets you know right away that a new kind of fairy tale has come to town. This story will show children that all types of love should be accepted and celebrated. In short, it is a lovely tale that open-minded people will find heartwarming and innovative.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute Read March 28, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Wonderful and progressive. A very, very cute read. Introduces all different kinds of love as normal, without making it the focus on the story, because really, kids are far more interested in the action than they are going to be in a love story.

5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful story April 2, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It's so refreshing to see a story that shows children that it's ok to be who they are. Not everyone fits into the same cookie cutter mold that we usually see in children's stories. This was beautifully written. Well done.

This is wonderful! The illustrations are bright, detailed and beautiful. Most children's books nowadays are without depth and emotion, but not this one. The language is so charming. A treat for both adults and children. Spoiler alert: there is a romantic twist at the end. The knight ends up with the prince. However, unlike other books that highlight romantic preferences, it is not the main focus of the book. A footnote at best. It is explained in the text in the most positive and truthful way and will inspire open minded ness with your child. This is a book for both boys and girls and regardless of the sexual orientation of the parents or children, the way the book addresses the emotions involved with the knight's romantic path is so loving and straightforward. I wish there were more books like this!
