Dr. Demartini has an amazing gift of delivering profound insights of human nature in easy to read stories and description. This book outdistances many others of the self help genre by describing ,with examples, the reason why certain life situations occur. He sheds light on everyday difficult situations such that you are given the tools to work through them and gain the reward of understanding, gratitude and mastery of the person, place or event. Dr. Demartini presents a model of love that works,is real and reproducible. Imagine being able to feel love more often and quickly. This book should be the handbook for parents, teachers, students and anyone who would love to thrive through life. Thank you Dr. Demartini

In his book, Dr. Demartini begins by saying, "Every single one of us has greatness and immortal genius inside. Everything that happens is directed toward waking us up to that gift and potential. We may have positive and negative opinions about the various people and events in our lives, but in truth, they all play a perfect role in unfolding our destiny and making us who we are." What he is saying consistently is that in every person or event, there is always and inevitably both positive and negative.

Dr. Demartini is not even saying that we should discount the negative and embrace the positive. What he is saying is that we need to come to appreciate the balanced experience and know that each is necessary for us and is as it should be. He tells us that "all phenomena are universally full-quantum. . .there must be no such thing as happiness without sadness, or sadness without happiness."

He speaks about gratitude being the key to "growth and fulfillment" and that those who learn to be grateful for what they have are quickly rewarded with more. He defines true gratitude as "a quiet state of poise and inner calm where you're truly thankful, where you sense the divine order and wouldn't want anything to change."

He then acknowledges how it's difficult to experience this sense of gratitude until we learn how to find the hidden benefit in what may at first seem to be a negative event. Everything that happens in our lives is a gift and a blessing.

Dr. Demartini talks about how we must come to welcome the balance between positive and negative. He says, "When you know that bad things aren't so terrible and good things aren't so terrific, you can be quietly grateful for whatever occurs. Balance is neither pessimism nor optimism. . . It is `gratefulism,' and that is both wisdom and true power."

His book tells us that in any given moment we have everything available to us that we need.

One of his concepts that profoundly affected me is that love is not merely unconditional support of another, but it also includes challenge. When we merely support another, we are only creating dependency. When we truly love, we also challenge. Conversely, love is not merely challenge but we also must support.

This book encourages us to "understand and embrace everything that comes our way. . .knowing that it is not an attack, but an opportunity to refine and expand ourselves, we can turn our lives into the same masterful dance."

I had the oppurtunity of hearing Dr. Demartini speak at a chiropractic seminar. However, his inspirational speaking took me far beyond the scope of chiropractic. That was three years ago and his inspirational & convictional speaking still moves me to this day. I purchased the book at the seminar and enjoyed it. The exercises are quite detailed and even the parts I did of the exercises brought great memorable, needed emotional releases in my life. Very inspiring man!!!

I found this book to be very applicable to my life in many ways, particlarly with the affirmations. Dr. Demartini is an interesting author with a viewpoint that is refreshing and different than the cookbook approach repeated over and over in most personal development books. Well worth the time and investment.

I have to admit, when I first started reading this, I put it down after a couple of chapters. I also have to admit, the reason that I did it was because I knew it was the truth and I was afraid to face it. For the 24 hours following I had a voice in the back of my head telling me to pick it back up again. I did. One of the best decisions I've ever made.

Everything in this book resonated with me. Going back through my life I realized the truth behind this. It also agrees with a lot of what I have been reading for the last couple of years. Within these pages are not only very wise words, but this book actually has real techniques that you can put to use right now to change your life. The key is to be completely honest with yourself. Don't lie to yourself and say that you're being honest, actually be honest. If you do, the effect will be phenomenal.

This is an insightful and very thought out book. As you read each chapter you are supprised to find that the pennies just keep dropping as what Dr Demartini has to say about our perseptions with life, love, friendships and relationships of all aspects. Very interesting and I would recommend this book to most people with an open mind.

I bought this book because I know someone who is fan of Demartini and his "Breakthrough Experience" concept. I was curious as much of what I'd heard espoused sounded like half-baked misunderstandings of other disciplines. This book explains much that concerned me.

The reality is that no-one can have done in-depths studies of more than 200 disciplines. Only skimming the surface can have happened; and it shows, as some of the concepts lack actual understanding of the discipline that is not quite being discussed.

While some of the suggestions and findings are good starting points, there is little that is great and even less that is unique or new. So much is a kind of superficial and kind of shallow exploration of what is better presented elsewhere, and (in my view) there is a lot of nonsense and padding.

A kind of trite book that may offer a great starting point for the bewildered and those lacking self-awareness.

I really rate Dr Demartini, and really enjoy his work, speaking and book. The Breakthrough Experience should be experienced live if you possibly can. I read the book before I did the 2 day course and it was very helpful to be aquatinted with the foundations of the experience... but I really needed to hear his work for everything to come alive for me. The course changed my life and catapulted my understand of what I was supposed to do beyond measure!

I have had the pleasure of personally meeting Dr Demartini on two occasions. He has personally told some of these stories to me himself. Do I believe everything he said happened exactly as told? No. But any good storyteller must embellish every story. No matter if the stories are absolute truth or total fabrication, it does not change the passion of the message. This man has devoted his life to helping himself and humankind raise above our normal lives and find and attain our destiny. This is a great man and a great book. Dr Demartini is has inspired me to be a better man, husband, Chiropractic healer, and human. I will be forever gracious to him for inspiring me.
