More About the Author
Annie Buckley is an artist, writer, and educator based in Los Angeles, CA. Her interdisciplinary practice embraces photographic collage, conceptual art, criticism, fiction, and children's books (see also A. M. Buckley). Annie is interested in cross-pollinating art and fiction and her work has been included in numerous exhibitions including at Carl Berg Gallery, Jancar Gallery, Los Angeles International Airport, the Pacific Design Center, and the Hollywood Art and Culture Center. She has written over 200 reviews and articles about contemporary art for publications including Artforum, Art in America, Artillery, Artbound, Los Angeles Review of Books, and Huffington Post. She is an Assistant Professor of Visual Studies at California State University, San Bernardino, where she founded and facilitates the Community-based Art program. In addition to writing, art, and teaching, Annie enjoys reading, yoga and meditation, and time spent with friends and family. She lives in downtown Los Angeles with her husband Dane and their three cats.
