Editorial Reviews

"THE BRIEF AGAINST OBAMA makes the case for sending Obama back to Chicago, and does so with lawyerly precision and broadcaster passion. Read it. Learn it. Pass it on. And work, every day, to stop the president's assault on our Constitution."

---Mark Levin, bestselling author of Ameritopia: The Unmaking of America

(undefined )

"Hugh Hewitt has done what the mainstream media has left undone. The media has dwelled on Barack Obama's style, his rhetoric, and his claims. Hewitt has concentrated on the facts---and only the facts---of Obama's presidency, set them against his promises, and judged Obama to have failed spectacularly. Obama is the Peter Principle President, in above his head."

---Fred Barnes, executive editor, The Weekly Standard, and Fox News commentator

First it is a brilliant book. Both well researched and well written. But one thought kept running through my head as I read it.

Why is "Obama the Media Myth" so different from the real Obama?

To hear the media tell the story, Obama's only two flaws are that he is too smart and too accommodating to Republicans; despite all the evidence to the contrary we have seen.

Obama has been a disaster yet the media has to stick with him because they have so much invested in him. This book puts the great lie to the media myth.

But I'll warn you... If you buy the book, get the digital version and not the hardcover... If you have the hardcover in your possession the urge to just walk through the New York Times newsroom smacking people at random with it might just be overwhelming. It was for me.

This is an outstanding book, by an outstanding author, professor and radio host. This President came in with such hope and so many promises to the American people. Do you remember there were "no red states, there were no blue states, only the United States"!? This President has done more to separate class from class, caste from caste than any President in the history of America. This is a great book written by someone who knew part of the market that might be reading it. In doing so much research to prove his points, he has readied himself from the inevitable diatribe that he will receive from the left; just check out the back with all of his reference points and materials. It's obvious this was written by an attorney and I would now imagine, a very good one!

Great stuff Hugh, I continue to know why I listen to you on the way home from work. Remember that guys and gals, work, employment, lets enjoy it now while we still have one IF Obama gets re-elected!

I purchased this book via 1-Click earlier today.

And, frankly, this is PRECISELY what I've been looking for in terms of being able to combat Leftist frippery and silliness. Because when I combat Leftists, Socialists, Demorats on my blog, I do so with facts and quotes and logic and history.

Just the things that Leftists, Socialists and Demorats do NOT wish to hear or read.

Because the American Left, at least, bases its foundational and fundamental elements but upon primarily emotions and little of logic or facts.

I enjoy, therefore, nothing more than to skewer those persons on little digital pikes of -- you guess it -- logic and facts.

I listen to and read Mr Hewitt's radio show and books because he does nothing more than fall back on everything but emotions when it comes to politics.

Because, as I indicate, nothing skewers the Left more successfully than their OWN quotes, videos and archived foolishness.

I write here as Bloviating Zeppelin: [...]

And, frankly, it is Mr Hewitt who got me into blogging in the first place.

This will be looked upon as an INCREDIBLE reference work for those who wish to provide specific and pointed arguments in their conversations, blogs, media and personal contacts.

Much to the chagrin of Mr Obama and his administration.

Hugh Hewitt, in 25 chapters, 45 pages of footnotes, and hundreds of facts, has not merely written a book for everyone who desires that Barack Obama's presidency ends in January 2013. He has given you a tool. Every claim made by a Obama advocate is rebutted with precision here. Every fact that can persuade a persuadable voter in your family or circle of friends is here. He has done the homework, and you, by reading this book can take the credit. Read the book and use it to form a 30 second elevator pitch to create your own brief against Obama. After you read the book, follow Hugh on radio and the web and stay up to date.

What a great book! It's perfect for anyone who wants to form a balanced, fact-based opinion on any major issue concerning the Obama Administration. Once you read it, you will feel like a top-notch lawyer, with constitutional law professor Hugh Hewitt preparing your brief. Many great conservative books were published recently, and it may become a bit overwhelming to keep up with all the right content out there. If you want to have something comprehensive, but still be able to articulate your point quickly and effectively, you should @ReadTheBrief.

I have never voted for a Democrat in my life. But in 2008 I was prepared to vote for Hilary Clinton because I thought that John McCain, while he is a great American, would have been a poor President. I also felt that if we were going to enact a "progressive" agenda that we should have a Democrat get the credit or the blame for the results of those policies.

Then Barack Obama became the Democrat nominee instead of Clinton. I couldn't bring myself to vote for someone with such a limited and radical record. I felt that Barack Obama could be a disastrous President. After he was elected I told the people who asked me that more than anything I had ever wanted, I wanted to be proven wrong about his election.

Unfortunately I wasn't wrong. We now have proven once again that government is not the answer to our problems, it is the problem. A President from my youth said something like this.

I have been looking for a book that would help me explain to people why the Obama Presidency has been such a failure. I wanted something that would look at the promises and the policies. That would show the evidence why we now need to change direction. Thanks Hugh, this is perfect!
