***Spoilers Ahead***

General Synopsis:
Continuing to search for Dr. Jackson's wife. The team along with members of SG-3 are sent to a world that may be where the Goa'uld fled to after the events on Abydos. After coming in contact with the native peoples SG-1 is brought to a small city not to different than that of ancient Manoans on Earth. During a meeting with the "people of the light" they learn that certain citizens of the city are infected with a plague and are known as "the touched". Banished to a ever dark woodland the infected are left to die.

Given the exploration of the planet has not achieved either the finding of Dr. Jackson's wife or technology to help in the defense of Earth, Colonel O'Neill ends the mission and orders SG-1 to return to Earth. Dr. Jackson pleads with General Hammond to allow the team to return to the planet. During the meeting a member of SG-3 shows signs of illness and attacks Teal'c, an attack that does not bode well for the Marine. After the meeting other members of both SG-3, SG-1 and members of Stargate Command show signs of the same illness.

During an altercation with Colonel O'Neill in the men's showers, Captain Carter is admitted to the infirmary. Not long after Colonel O'Neill himself quickly falls ill. After showing concern for Captain Carter, Colonel O'Neill, fueled by a jealous rage attacks Dr. Jackson. With the illness quickly spreading throughout the mountain, General Hammond is forced to quarantine the base and send both Dr. Jackson and Teal'c back to the planet in search for a cure.

After returning to the planet, Dr. Jackson is attacked by the native people known as "The Touched" and taken prisoner. Teal'c, having no choice but to stop searching for Dr. Jackson, returns to the city of "the light" for more information on what "the touched" is. During his visit Teal'c is forced to combat some of the guards in order to get a blood sample.

After returning to Earth, Teal'c gives the blood sample to Dr. Frasier. After running tests on the blood, Dr. Frasier, with O'Neill's help, is able to find a cure for "The Touched" and administer it to the infected. Now with a cure the team returns to the planet and cure the infected people there as well.

My Views:
This is the first episode that leaves behind both the Goa'uld storyline and Stargate Command(in most part) and actually begins to explore the galaxy. The episode explores what the true nature of the gate program should entail and also just what humanity's impact should be across the galaxy. Dr. Jackson continues to be the teams moral compass while O'Neill shows just how much he is willing to risk for his team and the people of Earth.

As always the acting is superb and the CGI begins to really take shape. As the story of the Stargate continues to unfold we are exposed to more and more of what makes this franchise so exceptional.

All Feedback Is Appreciated. Thanks.
