Very well written "factual" account of the growth of the Muslim Brotherhood not only in the Middle East but, in Europe and North America.

In his first book, "The Terrorist Next Door," crusading journalist Erick Stakelbeck alerted America to the very real threat from Islamist terrorists living in our nation, and the cover-up of that deadly situation by the Obama administration. In his new book, he sounds the alarm again: the Muslim Brotherhood, openly dedicated to the destruction of America, is alive and well -- and its members are now inside our government itself!
Do you know this name: Yusuf al-Qaradawi? You should. He is the Muslim Brotherhood's chief jurist, and from his safe haven in Qatar he spewed anti-American propaganda on his weekly Al Jazeera program, "Sharia and Life." Then, after the recent riots and events in Egypt, Qatar stripped Yusuf al-Qaradawi of citizenship and ordered him out of the country as a dangerous Islamist radical. Why do you care? Because Sheikh bin Bayyah is Qaradawi's deputy, his right hand man -- and he was an honored guest in the White House on 13 June, giving out his Muslim extremist advice.
Proof? bin Bayyah posted an account of the meeting on his website, complete with a photo of him at a table with White House national security staffers, a meeting that included Obama's National Security Advisor, Tom Donilon.
All this hard to believe, but there is much much more in Stakelbeck's important book. Names, places, and proof of the Muslim Brotherhood's penetration of the uppermost levels of our government. Written in Stakelbeck's plain hard-hitting style, it will show you the danger we face. Read it -- you will tell your neighbors!

With his trademark first-hand reporting, articulation and wit, Erick Stakelbeck brings readers into the world of the Muslim Brotherhood; a world that few Westerners can grasp. You will quickly flip the pages as you explore the growth of the Islamist tentacles throughout the Middle East, into Europe, and throughout the U.S., leaving virtually nowhere in America untouched. And winning the affection of media, universities and politicians every step of the way.

Stakelbeck obviously did his homework. The book is balanced, insightful, and well-written. With the Brotherhood in the news, the timing could not be better for a pivotal volume like this.

"Al Ikhawn Al Muslimum", the Muslim Brotherhood (M.B.), is probably today the primary existential threat to Western societies, Judeo-Christian culture and especially to the majority of mainstream Muslims. It is the fountainhead of all Islamist terrorist groups including Hamas, Al Quaida, Jama'a Islamiah et al. To say that M.B. represents genuine conventional Islam, is akin to stating, that the Ku Klux Klan represents true Christianity; nothing could be farther from the truth.

The book explain in details the origins and founding of the organization in Egypt, in 1928, by the anarchist Hassan El Bana, an admirer of Nazism and Marxist-Leninist ideology, who was ultimately hanged (1949) for his role in the assassination of Nokrashy Pasha (Egyptian Minister).
The ascent of Sayyid Kotb, the philosopher of the Brotherhood, to the highest echelon of the organization, is detailed. Kotb was raised in a rural farming community within a modest and religious family. By the time he went to college in Cairo, where he fell under the influence of Hassan El Bana, he was a secular intellectual, more interested in reading and writing poetry and novellas than in politics or religion. The two men became friends and Qutb drifted from secularism to a moderate modernist Islam with an overtone of Communism and Socialist Fascism. As an adult, Qutb had a palpable disdain for Imams, manifested by his repeated conflicts with the Muslim religious establishment, which in turn banned his books from Al-Azhar University (the pre-eminent Islamic school in the world) declaring him "munharif", a deviant.
Qutb became radicalized after his study tour of the USA, in 1948-50, which exposed him to the excesses of capitalist society, and by the execution of his mentor El Bana.

Erick Stakelbeck has done it again: given us solid journalism with first-rate analysis. This book should be a mandatory "must-read" assignment for every reporter, editor, politician, staffer, and security analyst. Every American (citizen or not) would benefit from the knowledge and wisdom shared by Mr. Stakelbeck. Thank you, sir, for bringing your expertise front and center to the American public.

Better than the last, Terrorist Next Door (which by the way, I loved that too)! Very informative and Erick has a writing style that feels like he is having a conversation with you. A lot of one liners that made me laugh. But his humor does not take away from the seriousness of the matters at hand. Radical Islam is infiltrated our country while Americans have been asleep at the wheel. Wake up folks!

This book is an eye opener! It should be required reading in colleges across the country. Kudos to Erick Stakelbeck for the hard work and detailed information about what the Brotherhood is really about & is really doing in America!
