2.0 out of 5 stars Long unrelated stories + Marketing Promotion June 16, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Several big problems with this book, that get in the way of the good information. It's a shame, because it seems as though the author knows a lot about the subject material.

1) The long sports stories have very little to do with the subject. The entire boxing story is connected to the subject along a very tenuous line--i.e., don't protect your business the old way using "Punch Drive." The author states that would be like Jerry Quary fighting for the heavyweight championship.

2) In later chapters, the book turns into a marketing promo for "Records Management Solutions (RMS). A search shows 11 references to RMS I am very puzzled why the other reviewers did not make note of this. It's very possible they missed it, but I don't know how. There is nothing wrong with advertisements for a product or company, but there are not usually put into the book content; if they are, then the book must be recognized as a sponsored work. if this book is sponsored by RMS, then this should be clearly stated in the Intro, or in the title.

Jim teaches the importance of protecting your information through stories. With these tales like his experience of running with the bulls in Spain to the story of Muhammad Ali when he fought Joe Frazier in Manila, Philippines in 1975. Jim Scott has a unique gift in making connections where most people would overlook them. His style is useful in illustrating and making his points to why it is important to safeguard your assets. This is one of those books that is as entertaining as it is informative, well worth the time to read.
