"The Art of Buying Jewelry" is a well-written and informative guide for anyone who already appreciates jewelry, as well as someone who is just beginning to build a collection. It even offers advice on how to avoid being swindled when buying jewelry abroad. I love how each chapter begins with a short story or vignette.

This book is an excellent guide for those who want to learn more about buying fine jewelry. It is filled with information ranging from purchasing diamonds, precious stones and pearls to building a relationship with jewelry and creating your own style. This is a great pocket guide to carry along on your next shopping trip. Also, I bought several copies as Christmas presents for my family...it would make a great gift to go along with a piece of jewelry for someone special...or stocking stuffer! Enjoy...the pictures are wonderful.
