Each author focuses on one can't-miss concept that leaders must embrace to be effective. Read each one slowly. They are gems.

Jesus often spoke how those who followed him were not of the world.in his book Bill shows how often Jesus did things which a person cattying out a mission now would not do.when he had a large following around him he would withdraw for a time of private prayer.similarly when a prospective donor came forward Jesus would question the person and make sure that the donor had the right reasons.
Bill Hybels points out how we need to do things the way Jesus did.Read Mark for these acts of Jesus.

This book is a collection of three edited talks given by the authors at the Willow Creek Association's Global Leadership Summit. Bill Hybels, founding pastor of Willow Creek Community Church, addresses the difficult intersection of leadership and discipleship. Mars Hill Graduate School professor, Dr. Dan B. Allender discusses the importance of leading with character. Noted author and pastor, John Ortberg examines the shadow missions that undermine the effectiveness of an organization.

All three essays are rather short and very pertinent to leaders today. Ortberg's message about overcoming our negative, selfish missions was probably the most memorable.
