The Caravan is a compilation of talks given in 1970 & 71. It is some straight speaking and a lot of question and answer. It covers everything from sex, drugs, politics, and hippies, to child birth, meditation, and a good way of thinking and being. The book started as a big class of hippies, then they took their message on the road. They say up to fifty school buses and forty other assorted vehicles. They meat a lot of people, and tried to bridge the gap between the common folks and the scarey long hairs.

I'll keep it short. I first read this book in the mid 70's. I read the latest version this year 2014. I find some of Stephen's talks in this book to be his best. The details of their journey traveling across the country and encounters with the local authorities is interesting, but is not the meat of this book. I read and reread this book to gain some knowledge of our human existence on this planet.
