This is an excellent book for the die-hard Carpenters/Karen Carpenter fan. It gives you a new perspective on some of the songs they recorded.
The best part of the book are the Karen Carpenter solo album interviews. There are six interviews connected with her solo album. In these interviews you learn that Karen very much loved this album and really enjoyed working on. You also learn that during the recording of her album two of the musicians developed a "crush" on her. All in all this book is an entertainingly good and easy read. |
