It took it long enough to come out. However it was not what I expected it to be for the time frame that they took to write it. I liked how the book took place in two different locations, the guys doing their thing and the girls handling business. Mia has always been a down chick and they plane "dropping" out of the air did not stop her show. The fact that she did not give up on her man with the DEA was on their back made me love Mia more, if that is possible. Breeze.....Baby Breeze FINALLY has a backbone and it took her long enough after all she has been through. I loved the dynamics of the girls and how they played off of each other to get by. Mia always being the leader type and ready to ride, from Breeze being accustomed to be under a scope knowing how to act when needed, and Leena with her book/business smarts (no street smarts whatsoever though). This new player in the game, Yasmin..... UHHH NO MA'AM! I do not like this female from the start. The fact that she cannot take no for an answer is not attractive to say the least. She is a spoiled brat who thinks she is entitled to everything....including Carter uhhh no ma'am do you not know that Mia does not play about her man??! I guess you will learn that the hard way huh? Anyway it was a pretty decent book...not long enough for the time it took them to publish it and the fact that they just keep this series going it is starting to become mundane. There is only so much more that they can do before this series gets very blah. Hopefully book 6 will be the end of this. At least Prada Plan stopped on 4 lol.

Before I review let me just say. Please humble yourself, for you guys to say "If we're lucky we'll get a story about Ethic" I mean if you guys are lucky we will buy it. I mean Ethic is Carter, Zyir, Indie, Money and all the other male characters, They are alike so hearing about him does not really excite me. I believe you guys should get away from the whole drug thing and just do a urban love story. Because everyone seems to be the same in all books.

I will first start off by saying this book was better than 3 or 4 because there was less senseless killing and the ending was really good, whoever wrote the ending should have wrote the whole book. Now for the bad news, first off we have waited two years for this book so there is no reason there should be simple errors. For instance, Leena and Monroe son should be at least 6 considering he was in a comma for five years but he was 3 in the book. Really? And at Leena and Monroe's wedding reception it is said that Miamor and Breeze are dancing but Breeze is still in the states, you meant to say Leena. Now on to the actual story line, the whole thing with Yazmine and Carter ALREADY happened with Zyir and Breeze please come with a new plot. This shows that you guys need to step away from the whole drug story line you keep recycling plots. And since when did Leena become such a boss, you depicted her as a bird brain in the rest of the books who got by on her looks but then try your hardest to persuade us that she is so smart and had a degree, when did she find time to do this?. You guys seem to have tried to hard to change our mind about her by repeating how smart she was and blah blah blah.

First, let me start by saying that this book is amazing. The wait was worthwhile and because I enjoyed and loved the entire series I knew I wouldn't be disappointed by this installment. If anybody knows A&J style of writing you must expect word play and jewels to flow like CRAZY. Ashley and JaQuavis are both profound authors who have reigned havoc in the literary world gracing the NYT best sellers list with each part of The Cartel series. They have made their mark and I love their work.
I love the growth in the characters I actually could feel today's Diamond legacy branching into another generation all living under the same old law.
This is Luxe Urban Fiction at it's finest and I love this new era in literature. This is by far the best installment of them all. Miamor is a true Murder Mama at heart and that's always a plus since part one. She always been smart and quick on her feet. Leena proves that she can be of value to the throne as well than her normal docile role. Breeze, the baby Diamond who is just that woman who stands by family by any means.
Their men Carter, Zyir and Monroe are adapting to new environments and all great cartels have to retreat to laying low so they can bounce back harder than ever. And as they say the past have a way of knocking on your door.
I hope part 6 doesn't take forever, but I know greatness can not be rushed and this is one series that I wouldn't mind waiting patiently for.

Book was ok I didn't like the fact that they keep backtracking to their old work on my OPNION the murder guy coming back in every book is wack to me and now it's a love triangle for miamor. I also don't like the whole Yasmine storyline cause it's a copy of the fake storyline between zyir breeze and the Mexican connect they had in cartel 3-4 can't remember which one was expecting more from this book
