This is a very thorough book about one particular UFO incident. The eyewitnesses suffered greatly from physical ailments afterwards. In addition there was psychological trauma. In addition they suffered ongoing nightmares, e.g. of weird looking beings close to the UFO that chased after one of the eyewitnesses. Vickie Landrum's reaction after having regressive hypnosis performed on her was, "I'll never relive that horror again!"

The book recounts the efforts made to get to the truth about the encounter. John Schuessler evidently considered that the helicopters that flew close to the UFO belonged to the U.S. Military. However, Betty Cash's thoughts as she witnessed the spectacle are included. She said, "Those people in the helicopters better watch themselves. As hurt as we were back there, they've got to feel it too. Some of them are even closer to it than we were and if they don't watch out they're going to get burned up." As Cash and the Landrums all suffered badly from exposure to the UFO, so the helicopter pilots would have suffered too, which makes me wonder if the helicopters were in fact UFOs themselves. The book Mystery Stalks the Prairie includes several examples of apparent helicopters seen in the vicinity of UFOs and the scenes of cattle mutilations which performed actions that ordinary helicopters would be unable to perform.

The book includes details of the legal action taken to obtain compensation for Cash and the Landrums. Even if the helicopters belonged to the U.S. Military, it seems unreasonable that they could have done anything to prevent the UFO from passing over a public highway, and unsurprisingly Schuessler is unable to provide any evidence that the UFO was military craft.

Real eye-opening case. Heavy documentation adds credibility, but makes book a little tedious. Glad the documentation is there, though. As a long-time student of UFO cases, I was glad to get the "straight scoop" on this one. But, I question if I should have been willing to pay $154 for it.
