Book Description

Grant and Bridge didn't think their chance meeting at the cell phone lot would lead to anything, but after flight delays and a couple of beers, each starts to wonder if they were meant to find one another. But Grant's supposed to pick up a girl he's met online, and Bridge isn't quite over her ex-boyfriend. Is the timing right, or might this possible relationship just never take off?

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprised by how much I loved this! February 5, 2012
By PamelaC
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I bought this book because I've loved what I've read on the author's blog, ManicMommy and wanted to support her book when it was released. I'm not usually a big reader of novellas, and was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this book! My only complaint, I didn't want it to end, it was that good. The writing is excellent and rang so true and the premise was fun. I must be living under a cave though, because I had to google 'cell phone lot' as I wasn't familiar with the term, and sure enough my local airport, Logan in Boston has one, who knew?

This story was also a page-turner for me and such a fun read, I was on the edge of my seat rooting for the characters and wondering what would happen next. There's a wonderful warmth and she hit just the right note of humor, just enough to add to the story and make you smile. I hope the author is working on something else, ideally a longer story, something I can curl up with for awhile. I look forward to it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally Worth the Read! July 31, 2014
By Jen
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was in the mood for something filled with romance that I could finish in a night and this novella was definitely it. It had everything I love in a story. Two main characters who are a bit broken. A chance encounter where sparks fly. Witty banter. An obstacle--of course. And the best part was knowing everything would be resolved in under seventy pages. It just brings you to the happy ending faster:-) Would definitely recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wintry Chicago Day June 23, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Grant and Bridge each find themselves waiting in the cell phone lot on a wintry, Chicago day. Grant is reluctantly picking up a woman he met on the Internet and Bridge is waiting for her sister.

Bridge's cell phone is dead, the snow is coming down harder and her car won't start! Grant takes notice and lends a helping hand. Both flights are delayed and Grant and Bridge use that time to get to know one another. Sparks are flying, conversation is flowing and then -- Grant's Internet friend arrives.

Read the rest to find out what happens! My only, only criticism is that it was too short and I wanted, more, more, more!!! Are, you listening to me, Stephanie? More, please!

3.0 out of 5 stars Very quick read
Quick reading novella. A cute storyline that went too fast for my taste. Our hero has a bit of a split personality, mature but talks about getting drunk a lot. Read more
