More About the Author

"Tom Bielawski is a bright light in today's dark sea of new writers. His writing gives me hope for the next generation of dreamers. I highly recommend both him and his works." - NYT Bestselling author, Tracy Hickman.

"Tom is a great literary voice in a sea of indies." -Best selling independent author, MR Mathias

Veteran Marine, lawman, and graduate of NYT Bestselling author Tracy Hickman's online workshop called the "Scribe's Forge."

I've always had a deep love of speculative fiction, particularly epic fantasy and science fiction adventures. I am so humbled and grateful for the chance to appear on your bookshelf, that I'm going to share a little bit of what you might find on mine. I grew up playing Dungeons and Dragons and reading Tracy Hickman, JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis, Lloyd Alexander, and Ann McCaffrey. Later I dug in to Robert Jordan, R.A Salvatore, M.R. Mathias, John Locke, Orson Scott Card, Robert Aspirin, Isaac Asimov, Joseph Lallo, and Brian Rathbone.

Some of my favorite works are The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Wheel of Time, Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, Ender's Game series. Though I've not read the books, I'm a huge fan of the Star Wars and Star Trek movie series'. I am also partial to reading Clive Cussler, CJ Box, Brad Thor, and Tom Clancy.

My future projects include a contemporary thriller series in the style of Bourne and Bond, a series of biographies of not-so-well known or loved (but influential nonetheless) Americans for children, a brand new fantasy series, 18th Century American Frontier fiction, and a series of Christian themed short stories.

How am I going to get all that done? Some of it already is. Stay tuned and thank you for taking the time to explore the wild imaginings. I'm a Dragon Highlord in my own mind!

This is a hot, quick moving space adventure.

The swagger of John Wayne behind a ship-flying Marshall - out for justice at any price. It has the legit feel of the Old West without being sappy or feeling forced.

Although the entire story line and character set is vastly different, it has the feeling of Firefly - the Sci Fi series, and I think this would make just as good a TV series; and we are really about due for a new space series.

There is room to go both into the past and into the future with these characters - so I hope there are more installments ....

I look forward to a whole series of Heck Thomas ...

Very engaging story of good guys and bad guys in the new old west. The book is short but does a good job of hooking the reader on the plot and characters and leaves you wanting more!

I enjoyed the first Heck Thomas book. I am looking forward to more Heck Thomas adventures. For $0.99, it is easy enough to give it a chance. You will not be disappointed.

From the very start The Centaurus Legacy caught my attention, sucking me into the well written science novel that added elements of the Old West to create a uniquely entertaining story. Tom Bielawski brings a talent for imaginative storytelling t the forefront as he weaves a tale about a lawman who finds himself on the wrong side of the law; facing countless enemies and an uphill battle as a mafioso frames him for some truly heinous crimes, Marshal Heck Thomas must right the wrongs done to him when his life and many others hangs in the balance. The author skillfully winds the reader up with suspenseful action, emotionally charged drama, twisty mysteries and a clear aim to entertain the reader. From start to finish this was fun, exciting, imaginative and well worth the read.

"The Centaurus Legacy" is the kind of novel that successfully blends two polarized genres... science fiction and old western... into one truly exciting and imaginative story that captures the reader's attention. It's well-written with a fast-pace, a smooth and stylish tone, an authentic and charming main character, and a plot that had me eagerly reading to the very end. Set in the 22nd Century where man has seeded space in far reaching ways, Marshal Heck Thomas is forced to go on the run and clear his name after being framed from crimes he didn't commit. He's got the universe against him and a stain on his name, but he's determined to do his duty and reclaim what's been taken from him, standing between danger and the Centaurus project all the while.

This is a sharp and refreshingly inventive novel that reads like an old Western, but with the slick and modern twist of space travel, and out-of-this-world technology. Tom Bielawski does a wonderful job of world-building in this story, adding layer upon layer to this universe and the characters... making for a story that comes to life in intricate ways. From start to finish this was a fun and thrilling read that I would recommend to other readers in a heart beat.

Certainly this magnificent book is incredible from start to finish. Intriguing and most interesting. It kept me alive. The story line is thrilling like a roller-coaster ride with many high points. Undoubtedly this story is utterly amazing and fun. The pages were moving so fast in anticipation of the next chapter, I could barely keep up. Awesome… is the true word to describe it. Thumbs up to Tom Bielawski for such a mind blowing read.
One of the best Sci-fi thrillers I've read in a year!
I highly recommended it.

A truly winning writing style which draws you in and captivates you (which is what a good novel does), this novel is well worth your time to read. Having read both Heck Thomas novels, I am eagerly awaiting a third novel.. and I can recommend this author as not having just one worthwhile novel but being able to keep your attention as a successful author for even more follow-up. It is a super series, lots of suspense and interesting dialog with action. It is like reading a great movie, and I would go see it if it were made into one. You will like it if you enjoy this genre.. well done!! I highly recommend it.
