This is a great and handy guide for anyone interested in the Chakras,
This review is from: The Chakras (Kindle Edition)
I purchased this book to deepen my knowledge of the chakras. This is a great guide for anyone like me who is a beginner in this area and wanting to learn more. This book is short, sweet, and to the point, and it is a neat little guide I can keep in my pocket via the kindle app for my Droid! I have referred to this book over and over again, and I would recommend this book to anyone who has little knowledge of the chakras who would like to learn.

What a gem!,

I absolutely love Janet Boyer's writing, and her research is impeccable. In The Chakras, Janet is characteristically concise, absorbing, clear, and accessible. In addition to being a wonderful read, this little gem is an excellent resource to have on hand for anyone---those new to chakra study and at all stages beyond. I have found myself referring to it time and again, and the overall organization makes reference a breeze.I particularly liked Chapter 13: Seeing Yourself And Life Symbolically. Again, Janet's research stands out here, and her discussion of Jung's Archetypes as a means to awaken our awareness is both charming and enlightening. I also regularly use the affirmations she suggests for each chakra in Chapter 14 (affirmations for the fifth (throat) chakra are especially helpful to me personally!). This book is 100% worth your time, and it's an absolute steal. I have recommended it to many people who have in turn responded very positively, and now I'm recommending it to you!

Disappointing,

This book has serious formatting issues, the table of contents does not work for a start. Some pages only have one word on them and there are big gaps and spacesThe actual contents may be OK for someone who has no idea what a chakra is but really the information is pretty basic. I would not reccomend this if you want something that is anything more than some basic stuff. If it had been any more than 1.99 I would be asking for a refund. The best thing about it is the picture on the cover.

This e-book is certainly too brief for its price. The information could easily be found on a website on chakras and converted into an e-book as well and is not much longer than the Wikipedia website on chakras. The article includes a quite large section with advertisements for other books by the same author.

I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised at just how much information was compiled in this 35 page Ebook ! Janet shares information on each chakra : Location, body parts, glands, malfunction, lesson, mental and emotional issues, orientation to self, sacred truth, primary fears, and affirmations. The explanations for each chakra are superb! She goes into the most down to earth explanation for each chakra. What I loved is that there isn't a long-winded mystical/ magickal speech that the reader can't relate to what the author is trying to express. She delivers the explanations in such a manner that I could sit down and read the Ebook to my children and it kept them engaged. Do you believe that?! The way the material is written, it opened up a whole line of communication and interest. Finally, my children were able to connect chakras with an actual functioning part of their body! The next day, we bought one of the recommended reading books that Janet referenced in the back of the E-book and now we are doing yoga to get our chakras balanced. I particularly enjoyed the Chakra Affirmations. I have been using them and I can feel my chakras stirring with each spoken affirmation. Very well done! I highly recommend The Chakras Ebook for anyone that would like to understand chakras in a very concise and down to earth manner with USEFUL information. I truly enjoyed it!

Janet has packed a lot of information in this eBook that I found myself going back to reread while adding notes and highlights! I found it particularly helpful as each Chakra was described, Janet broke down all the areas that are related, Location, Body Parts, Glands, Malfunction, Lesson, Sacred Truth. Mental and Emotional Issues, Primary Fears, Primary Strength etc. The chapters, "Opening The Chakras Through Mantras" and "Chakra Affirmations" can be used as quick mini-tune ups for balancing your chakras in this fast-paced world. I found Chapter 13 fascinating, "Seeing Yourself And Life Symbolically" explored Archetypes and symbols, and as Janet stated, "Learning to see ourselves and our lives symbolically sharpens our ability to see these patterns, and injects greater meaning and purpose into our lives. It also helps us discover areas where we are "asleep".Excellent work and I would highly recommend.

This book was very disappointing. It was very brief, and I do not think the subject's basics were addressed sufficiently. Better books on the market for that.

The author writes in such a manner that a complicated topic such as learning of and balancing the chakras is made to a level of simplicity.
