Steve Victorson, EdD. has spent his entire adult life at the forefront of the sports fitness and general health and fitness fields. He is the founder and president of Swymfit, an innovative, joint friendly water based fitness and conditioning program that provides services in Boxborough, Massachusetts. Swymfit, also the name of his fitness center is one of the first health clubs to make water exercise its primary focus for developing health and fitness.
Dr. Victorson served as a conditioning coach for the U.S. Ski Team during a period that included the 1988 Olympics. In 1999, Dr. Victorson earned his doctoral degree in Human Movement from Boston University. His doctoral dissertation, "The Factors of Winning Among Elite Alpine Ski Racers," provided the basis for The Champion's Way. Victorson also worked with Dr. Igor Burdenko, a fitness innovator and founder of the Burdenko Method.
