Book Description

Mirron, a strangely reptilian woman who fights as a seasonal mercenary, finds herself thrust into an adventure that was not hers. Trying to make money for her family, she is instead charged as the sole protector of an innocent infant, pursued by a murderous assassin queen and her dangerous husband. Harried at every step, guided by fairies and desperation, Mirron's only hope is to find out why a queen wants to kill an infant, and what she can do to stop it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fun, fast-paced Indy fantasy September 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The Charge reads like a great animated fantasy. The author dives right into the action and rarely pauses. The story is simple, but primal and entertaining. There is a lot of action, a fair bit of sex, and some very imaginative fantasy elements. The book does lack the polish of a "professional" work, but is worth a read for any fans of action oriented Fantasy who don't mind a rough edge here and there.

4.0 out of 5 stars A thrilling ride.. December 10, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
For the author's first book, this action packed fantasy is a preview of great things to come. This is about a warrior named Mirron, working as a mercenary in order to provide for her family, little does she know that destiny has plans for her in a small baby named Anna. She is thrust in a battle with the blood thirsty Queen Tanja who receives power once the child is killed. There is constant action, sex, and magical creatures at every turn, all aiding the warrior on her quest. This is a great first book for the author although there are occasional rough spots for you grammar Nazis's out there, it is a refreshing read and a promise of more magical worlds to come. Well worth the $3.

More About the Author

Pancakes! Now I have your attention.

I write books, primarily fantasy though I'm working up the courage to write science fiction. I write from the idea that character motivation should always trump plot; who they are and what they want means more than Event A, B, or even Event C. Oh yes, I went there. Event C can kiss my ass.

I also design games. More importantly, my gaming and interest in everything to do with it colors my writing. A lot. It's gamer writing.
