Book Description

June 18, 2011
Cheating has become the proverbial lament heard around the world. Universal in its occurrence, cheating often leaves women broken and men shrugging their shoulders, declaring, "It's just the way I am. It's in my DNA." (Note: In some circles, DNA stands for Dumb. Needy. Asshole.). So stop the cheater now! With its expert author team primed to out-wit even the sneakiest sleezeball, The Cheat Sheet uncovers the entanglement of infidelity with tools as simple as quizzes and as versatile as GPS systems. Each chapter reveals true infidelity stories, common cheating excuses and exposes the cheater's thought process and patterns. Readers will learn how to catch a cheat in the act; which rules cheaters live by; how to deflect a cheater's advances; how to forgive; and when there's no choice but to forget and move on. The Cheat Sheet teaches readers to recognize cheating, catch cheaters red-handed, and ultimately find a relationship that will make them happy for a lifetime.

4.0 out of 5 stars Book Review: The Cheat Sheet July 23, 2011
Format:Paperback
After reading the stories in this book, it seems that we are a cheating culture. Examples of cheating celebrities underline this point. After reading the stories in this book, we seem to be a cheating culture. With the advent of technology, it has become even easier to cheat. The purpose of this book is to provide in-depth methods of detecting and preventing cheating. It also provides advice on when to move on from a relationship. Listed are numerous quizzes, cheater excuses, and real-life stories throughout the book. The stories were enjoyable and lent a human component to the otherwise sordid business of cheating. I found myself wondering who would have the time to go to such lengths to uncover a cheater, but the suggested methods were detailed and thorough. There should have been more advice on checking the legality of some of the methods as some are not legal in parts of the U.S.

There was some repetition from chapter to chapter in some of the method descriptions, and I think a few warnings in the chapters themselves would have warranted regarding violent cheaters. This is covered in a later chapter. It is not always that easy to leave someone violent, but the authors do list methods and places to get help if this is the case. I also think a chapter should have been devoted to seeking counseling. Many couples go to counseling, but some battered women need more in-depth help.

That being said, there are quizzes to help understand if a marriage or relationship is salvageable and how to make a relationship "affair proof." The advice was full of good ideas, but again I wondered who would have the time or emotional energy to think constantly about a relationship. I got the impression that having a relationship could be a full-time job.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 STARS! October 28, 2011
By nikmac
Format:Paperback
As a woman who has been with the same man for 12 years, I found this book to be extremely helpful. It's not just a book about cheating men. Marriage is not always easy. Married men and women alike are guilty of searching for "happiness" by forming relationships with outside partners. Cheating (both emotionally and physically) is a substitution for something that is missing in a marriage almost 100% of the time. If only people would take the information given in the book and really listen, so many painful relationship woes could be avoided. I loved this book!

I would recommend this book to ANYONE; even those not in a relationship. As a single female, this book gave me a new perspective on relationships and a new value and appreciation for being single.

Very well written, and easy to read. The true life stories throughout the book are inspiring and hopeful. The tips and quizzes truly make you think and keep you on edge, anxious to read more.

Cannot wait to read future publications.
