Book Description

Chester the Chesapeake is one heck of a dog. He hasn’t written one book but three!

This single volume edition features all three of Chester’s books in the Chester the Chesapeake series. Beginning as a puppy, Chester grows and learns to share, follow rules, and give back to his community as a therapy dog. Other dogs and a cat join the household and the unique personalities of all the dogs shine throughout.

Children love entering Chester’s world with real pictures, first person narration, and speech balloons for his thoughts. However, this trilogy is so much fun, it’s a family affair!

Books included in the Trilogy: Chester the Chesapeake Book One, Chester the Chesapeake Book Two: Summertime, and Chester the Chesapeake Book Three: Wintertime.

Book newly published and not included in The Trilogy: Chester the Chesapeake Book Four: My Brother Buck.

About the Author

*****

A physician, speaker, and former chemist, Barbara Ebel's writing draws heavily from her experience as an anesthesiologist, her dealings with family court, and her interactions with people and places from around the world.

Since Ebel writes credible medicine into the background of her novels and her O.R. scenes shine, it's no wonder the first in her Dr. Danny Tilson Novels, Operation Neurosurgeon, was the top finalist for best selling medical mystery books in 2012. (Best Selling Books' blog announced on PR Buzz Press Release Wire, Chicago, IL).  The ranking derives its roster of bestsellers from sources such as Amazon and Goodreads and uses readers' ratings, reviews and title sales for a blended score that creates each book's final rank.

In addition to her adult writing, she has illustrated and penned a children's book series called Chester the Chesapeake. The books developed after her philanthropic visits with her therapy dog, Chester. The dog continues to inspire adults and children alike. After publishing each Chester book, the question then is always, "when's the next one?"

Along with her husband and four pets, "Doctor Barbara" lives in a wildlife corridor in middle Tennessee. Her book, Silent Fear, the second of the Dr. Danny Tilson novels, was published in March 2014.

5.0 out of 5 stars Three Cheers for Chester the Chesapeake! September 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
What a joy to come across this wonderful series. I have enjoyed reading these three books on my iPad Kindle App. I love that I could immediately access the stories and enjoy the wonderful photos. My 5 year old daughter also enjoys reading stories on my iPad and she loved this series. Most children are natural animal lovers, my daughter included. Chester is a wonderful dog and he teaches many wonderful lessons which encourage children to have good habits and behavior.

I am always on the look out for unique stories and book formats. This story and format was a little bit of both. I also look forward to reading the Paperback version. Thank you Barbara for your work and love of children and animals. My oldest daughter was truly blessed when she was visited by a dog much like Chester when some years ago she spent 8 days in the hospital.

You and Chester make a difference!
