There are so many christians who start out on fire for the Lord, and then fizzle once the attacks and temptations of this world come. Many of them don't have a clear picture of just what our "Christian Hope" is all about. That what we do on this earth counts! Many believe that after salvation there is nothing else to accomplish. The truth is there is so much more after that. Reading this book will recharge your battery, and allow you to hold onto that "Hope" when the trials and temptations of this life come your way.
This book is beautifully written by a man who obviously loves God, and has a heart to share the truth with others. This book has really blessed me, and I believe it can do the same for you.

I can't say it better than the author himself. Here is a quote from pg. 11 in the introduction.

Pg. 11 "Truly the Lord opens our blind eyes so that we may see and opens our hearts so we can understand both the meaning and value of the timeless word of God. My prayer, for myself and for you as you read this book, is not original. It was in the heart of the apostle Paul and penned to the church in Ephesus almost 2000 years ago."

Ephesians 1:18
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.

"May we all understand the Hope the Lord has set before us"

Wow. I just cannot say enough about this incredible book. It will open your eyes and your heart to God and His Word like never, ever before. The traditional church teaching is that through Jesus Christ we are saved (we are!) and then we have eternal life (we do!) But what then? Sit around and wait for heaven? And what exactly IS heaven, anyway? And are the dead living there now? If not, where are they? And what are these "rewards" the bible speaks of? And this "judgment"? If I'm saved, why am I going to be judged? Does what I do in THIS life have any bearing on what I will do in the NEXT one? Folks, if you have ever had any questions along any of these lines, this is the book to read. It lays out the TRUTHS in God's Word simply, beautifully, lovingly, and in a way that just says, "Here it is. You can believe it or not believe it, that's your choice. But here it is in black and white." I can just about guarantee you that you can walk into any church in this country today and you will probably not find even ONE that is teaching the truths that are set forth in this book. Oh my gosh! Then it can't possibly be TRUTH, can it? Not if the churches aren't teaching it! Yes, it can--and it is. If you have any doubts, you need only to do what they did in Acts 17:11 - SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES TO SEE WHETHER THESE THINGS ARE SO. There is NOTHING that Mr. Schoenheit shares in this book that he does not back up 100% FROM THE SCRIPTURES. So why isn't it being taught in the churches? Because the churches are stuck in "tradition". They are teaching what everyone else is teaching and what has been taught since time out of mind. That doesn't make it TRUTH.Read more ›

This book is the real deal. It will set you straight in ways you didn't even know were crooked.

Once scripture is viewed through the dual lens of accurate dispensational realities and the precise use of figures of speech, it becomes obvious that there really is no other way to accurately understand scripture, this life, or our destiny. For further study, see the website: truthortradition.com.

While other 'experts' complain that a focus on hope for the future is escapism, Schoenheit clearly shows that hope really is the anchor of our souls. His research is thorough and intellectually sophisticated, yet his style is accessible. Unlike some theological works, it is easy to read. I intend to be a student of this author for as long as possible.

There are some good points in here, but way off on the return of Christ. dispensation belief has clouded the writers understanding of clear verses in the context concerning his return. i highly suggest people who are searching for a better understanding of the Last Days need to get MICHAEL ROODS THE MYSTERY OF INIQUITY. Amazing work in 2 thess chapter 1 and 2. without a doubt it clears up two century's of error and sloppy work.

I read this book based on the other positive reviews. I should have looked at the author's website first to see what he really believed. The most important test for an authentic Christian faith is how one sees Jesus. If Jesus Christ is shown to be anything other than fully God and fully man, that position has long been considered to be heresy and is in fact, generally considered to be the mark of a cult rather than a Christian sect. I believe in the Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; the author's website espouses a form of Unitarianism labeled "Biblical Unitarianism." The part about eternity being on the new Earth is correct as is the part about rewards for service, but there is too much of what I would call serious error mixed in for my recommendation.
