I just finished reading "The Christmas Sisters" and really enjoyed this book. I always like to read a book involving a Christmas theme to get me in the mood and this filled the bill. This book is about forgiveness as those in the town of Pursuasion Alabama get a new minister who as a young man was asked not to darken its doors again. Sam comes home to make things right, not only with the town but with his first love Nicholette. The old flames becomes reignited and so the story begins as the Dorsey sisters come back to town. This story will warm your heart as the characters come to life, especially Willa, Nic's special needs daughter. This is a heartwarming story that will give you that warm fuzzy feeling clear to the end.

I really enjoyed this book! I was sad when it ended because I really got to know the characters. This is a sweet love story and I enjoyed the crazy and fun family thrown in there. I think it's a story many can relate to in one way or another.

I enjoyed this book with its characters that interact like "real people" doing real life things. The story is simple yet takes turns into lifes complications of the type most of us run into ourselves and gives thought to solutions that bring family closer rather than drive wedges. I would reccommend this book to anyone who enjoys love and life.

Confusion, family ties, love loyalty, and bitterness make for a page turning exciting adventure into how real life can be. This story is as good as any I have read in a while. The cruelty of some and the loyalty of a few make for a mysterious small town fiction that could be as true as life can get anywhere. I fell in love with some and did not like others in this town ,just as you can in real life. But the reverend in this book has a way of making anyone who reads the Christmas Sisters by Annie Jones understand how easily we can love the unlovely if we realize that to someone we too maybe unlovely . Anyone looking for a good read will not regret purchasing this book for themselves and giving it for a gift to others. Clean, comical sad and loving all wrappedup together in this Kindle book I purchased from Amazon. Does love really find a home?? Buy it and find out. Mimi6

This Christmas story was outstanding. The characters were developed well with real issues. Out of what seemed despair came the hope of Christmas shining through-from "empty nest" to the heartbreaking concerns of a brain damaged child. The greatest story was the way Willa seemed to face most crisis and lacked a number of skills but spoke with the wisdom of the ages in her child-like understanding of the real story of Christmas, Jesus' birth and reason for the Chirstmas celebration. It was hopeful to work with Sam and Nic through their lost realtionship to a fuller and more mature one. The wonderful part was the manner in which the author took the family through the normal family trials and tensions to reveal the true depth of love and respect that each generation of sisters had for each other.

You'll love reading this book at this time of year. Christmas that is. It's all about family and the love of people that may of got away. Also about how special children are and how much we love them no matter if their not perfect or want we think as perfect. Some are just extra special.

Every year I pick a new Christmas story to read and this is one I would recommend to others! From page one I felt like I knew this family. It is a story of hope, forgiveness, redemption and standing strong in the midst of challenging circumstances. We need more stories like this in our world!

What a sweet story! It took me just a little while to get into it, but I am sure happy I kept reading. I can't wait to read more books written by Annie Jones.
