I'll admit, I was skeptical of the decision that MTV made to give Whitney Port her own spin-off series from The Hills. The first season was extremely bland and boring. Basically Whitney moves to New York and starts working and dating a loser "musician" with an accent. He is just as bland and boring as Whitney. I wasn't sure if the series would be renewed for a second season, but it was and it's a good thing because this series is really getting good.

There are actually good and entertaining story lines and cast members in season 2. Whitney works at People's Revolution all while being mentored by Kelly Cutrone and starting her own clothing line. Whitney's former co-worker Olivia works at Vogue Magazine and is challenged by her role as "web cast interview chick". Conflicts with co-workers and her too forgiving boss arise making her storyline just as entertaining as Whitney's. Olivia's co-worker and enemy Erin breaks out as a strong third main cast member in the series.

The City is less about scripted "drama" and pointless scenes in clubs where people spat about relationships. It's more about young women working towards achieving their goals in the fashion world. Hopefully the series continues and gets better now that the train wreck known as the last two seasons of The Hills has ended.

I have an easier time believing this series than The Hills due to the fact that you can actually see that these girls are working and doing what they do on the show. Hopefully MTV doesn't wreck this show.

Season 2 presents a lot of challenges to Whitney and we get to see Olivia's true colors. Loved it!

the second is the best series
it talk about the life of whitney after the first runway show of whitney's line,olivia get promoted to be the new face of elle but she has a rival erin. and the tension rise between whitney and roxy after roxy doesn't make wear a whitney's clothes at the singer lights.
i give to it fourth stars because the packages is only a plastic dvd case and when i opened the part that take the disc was broken

I honestly really love this show, i knew nothing about it until one day the name caught my attention and I watched it just one time and fell in love with it, I really love the fact that it involves a lot of fashion, I'm really interested in that and I can't say how much I've been obsessed with it ever since that day, GREAT SHOW!!! ;)

Much more interesting than the first season... I Wasn't too captivated by the first series but there's more drama in the second season which makes you just want to keep watching. Would definitely recommend if you like The Hills and season one of The City.

As you would come to expect, hours of drama, tears, trickery and glamour on "The City"'s second season. With Erin and Olivia at each other's last nerve and Roxy and Whitney headed for a heart-heart-heartbreak, World's collide, and fashion and fame are all a little too much for these City Girls to handle. Watch, with guest such as Kelly Cutrone, Lights, and other familiar faces as witty humor and hard work pay-off for Whitney in her second successful season as the leading lady of "The City."

I WASN'T SURE HOW HER OWN SHOW WOULD BE BUT I LOVE IT WHITNEY REMINDS ME OF LAUREN FROM THE HILLS THE GOOD GIRL AND OLIVIA IS SO STUCK UP YOU LOVE TO HATE HER.i WISH THEY WOULD HAVE CONTINUED TO SEASON 3 AT LEAST.i AM NOT BIG ON REALITY SHOWS BUT I LOVE THE SHOW AND THE HILLS.

the last disc in the set of the city is faulty and does nt play on any dvd players. the first disc on the hills dvd also does nt play on any dvd player.when I wanted to send them back to be replaced I might have been charged the full price again if they did nt recieve them within 30 days from the purchase date. they took over two weeks to reach me in the mail,so its hard to know if they will get there on time. they have my credit card details so I have no gaurantee that I wont be charged all over again. therefore I havent seen the full series of either my purchases.so that being said .I will not be purchasing anything from amazon again.
