Colby "Cole" Patterson is a hard working man. He's successful, good looking and married to the love of his life Glenda. They have 2 children Gavin and Shawna. Colby's seemingly perfect life is turned upside down when his wife begins to think he is cheating and soon after she is murdered in a random drive-by shooting.

Colby's world comes crashing down as he struggles to adjust to life without his wife. Too add to his troubles, he is actually a suspect in his wife's murder!! Taking care of his kids and working full time is a bit much for Colby, so he is THRILLED to meet the sexy, young Karma Jolley while eating lunch, who advertises her services as "the clean-up woman". Colby feels that Karma can help keep his house clean and care for his children. Karma is just what Colby needs, or so he thinks. Cole hires her the same night, without checking her references.

Karma and her dog Princess are soon a part of the Patterson family. Karma takes great care of Gavin and Shawna...but she really wants to take care of Cole. Karma is a young lady from a troubled family with a past and she quickly falls head over heels in love with her "boss" Cole. And thats were the drama starts. Karma will do almost anything to be with the man of her dreams Cole, even if it means hurting a few people along the way. Oh and if Cole doesn't love her back...he might be hurt too!!!

Ths book is a 5 star read, Alisha is back and doing her thing in "The Clean Up Woman"!!!!

I don't know where to start with this book. It was "kind of interesting", but kind of Crazy.. Colby patterson must have been the most stupid man that ever lived in a novel..

Karma was crazier than a bat with sight. I could not believe that Cole (colby) was so blind to the fact. I do agree that this book was predictable.

It got so that I just started skipping paragrahs I just wanted to be done reading it already...

OH" and spoiler "For Real" She had a baby and by ____? SMH.... I guess that dream wasn't a dream at all when he "dreamdt" that they'd had sex and she secretly took the condom off him?

#Read at your own risk..(it's ok, just real predictable) OH and I have adjusted my review per request....

I give 2 stars

On the night of their wedding anniversary a fatal tragedy occurs. Leaving Colby Patterson a widower and single father.

When Colby meets the young and beautiful Karma Jolly, he thinks she may be a Godsend. Passing out flyers in hope of employment, Karma offers such services from cleaning the house to babysitting. Colby shortly hires her for her services and day to day things slowly begin to become easier for Colby and the children.

What Karma wants more than anything is Mr. Colby Patterson. What Karma wants...Karma gets! She will not let anything or anyone stand in her way. Wherever Karma goes, chaos and drama are sure to follow.

The question is: Is Karma really a Godsend or the devil incarnate?

THE CLEANUP WOMAN by Alisha Yvonne is a story of sex, lust, lies and murder. THE CLEANUP WOMAN was a page-turner but I found it to be somewhat predictable. It took a minute for the drama to unfold, but it had all the makings of a true lifetime movie. The author leaves the reader with a cliffhanger. I see a sequel!

This is a very good read!!! Karma Jolly redefines the entire "fatal attraction" theory for me. I was amazed by the plot and the lengths that the main character would go through to get her man, and I loved the mystery surrounding Karma's life story. The story line was excellent and although there were a few times I had to read a sentence twice to get an understanding, this book was great!!! As a north Mississippian it felt good to actually read about the places that I frequent. I recommend this book to all those who love a good, suspenseful story. The Cleanup Woman is a must read for the summer!!!!

ENJOY!!!!!

It's difficult to sit back and read a book when I'm writing all the time, but I do it when I can. I'll read articles, blog posts and books for about an hour and half and then get back to my writing.

Well, The CleanUp Woman by Alisha Yvonne kept my eyes glued to my e-reader for more than the allotted time. In short, this book was difficult to put down.

I will admit, it's incredibly predictable. I've seen the movie several times with different characters, different scenes and different titles. You know the tale. There's a woman who seems sane, when in reality she's not. She becomes obsessed with a man, sometimes woman, and then her true colors come out. She goes out of her way to have him, whether he wants her or not. This woman, who is severely touched in the head, will remove anyone from his life that interferes with the relationship she has constructed in her mind.

In this book, Karma Jolley was the seemingly sane woman, but she was the star pupil in that class. You know the class. Crazy and effin' insane 101.

Now, just because I knew what was going to happen before it happened didn't make the read any less enjoyable.

*SPOILER ALERT!*

I couldn't help but feel sorry for poor Colby "Cole". It seemed like this guy couldn't catch a break. First, his wife repeatedly accused him of being unfaithful, when he was nothing but true to her and their marriage. Then, he lost his wife when a couple of thugs pulled up on them and shot her in cold blood. Afterwards, he became the number one suspect of the crime. It's always the husband, right?
This tragedy turned his life upside down. He loved his wife dearly, so it was difficult to move on without her.

Cole and his wife had 2 children.
