Editorial Reviews

A member of the tight-knit Mobb Deep family, Big Noyd has been a Queensbridge legend since his opening line on the Mobb's song "Give Up The Goods (Just Step)." First getting shine way back in '93 on Mobb Deep's debut album, "Juvenile Hell", Noyd continued to make show-stopping appearances on nearly every following Mobb Deep album. His 1996 debut album, "Episodes of a Hustler", was released during a period of incarceration for the infamous Big Noyd. Nevertheless, many consider it a classic. He returned with his sophomore album in 2003, "Only The Strong (Survives)", again in 2004 with "On The Grind" and most recently his Traffic Entertainment venture "The Stick Up Kid." His latest offering, "The Co-Defendents" picks right up where "Stick Up" left off. Usual suspects such as Prodigy and Havoc of Mobb Deep, Infamous Mobb, Ill Bill (Non Phixion & La Coka Nostra), Rick Rude, and Seb appear as well as Rapper Noyd's newest "Co-Ds": Flame Killer, Trez and Sola. Once again Queensbridge comes correct from vets to new cats, with one of their legendary ambassadors holding it down as always.

4.0 out of 5 stars Noyd is back yet again June 19, 2007
By G$
Format:Audio CD
Just 8 months after his last album, the Infamous QB vet returns with yet anotehr solid album to his name. After taking 7 years to follow up his near classic debut album, Noyd has released 4 albums in the past 3 and a half years, all worthy of 4 stars, 1 getting 4.5 in my opinion. Though this is short (as most of his albums seem to be), clocking in at 11 songs and slighty over 37 minutes, you get some good material. Noyd is only on 9 of the 11 songs (Infamous Mobb have 2 solo's) and one of the 9 is on another one of his albums. 3 are real good songs, 3 are ok, the other 6 are decent to good songs. Guests are on all but 2 songs, so you get a great deal of Big Noyd, but the album is still solid. Production is pretty good. havoc does 3 sogns, Sola does 2, and Ill Bill, Sebb, Rick Rude, E Blaze, Bless, and Dom all do 1 song. A good album to have for fans of real street rap/QB rap.

#1 - 9 (f/ GOD pt. III & Ty Knitty of Infamous Mobb -- good beat)
#2 - 6.5 (f/ Flame Killah & GOD pt. III)
#3 - 8.5
#4 - 7.5 (f/ Ill Bill)
#5 - 8
#6 - 7.5 (f/ Bless)
#7 - 7.5 (f/ Prodigy)
#8 - 6.5 (f/ Mobb Deep)
#9 - 7 (Infamous Mobb - no Noyd)
#10 - 9 (Infamous Mobb -- No Noyd -- tight beat)
#11 - 9 (f/ Trex -- nice beat)
