Book Description

January 31, 2012

People need a creed and a cause, and today millions of patriotic Americans are finding their voices.

They say the best indicator of the future is history. How things have been can be a powerful signal of how they will be. But what will be our role in shaping the future for this country?

In The Coming Revolution Dr Richard G. Lee powerfully explains that a new revolution is coming. It may be in the streets of our nation’s capitol—as we saw in Europe last year—or, better yet, in voting booths across America. Signs from our nation’s past and present ring out the truth: a second American revolution is near at hand.

Using this country’s rich heritage of liberty and democracy as a roadmap toward where we could be headed, Dr. Lee brings thoughtful clarity to the ever-growing probability of such a revolution in America; illuminating the important reminder that the voices of every revolution have been—and always will be—the ordinary everyman.

Discover how you can be a part of this country’s social, political, and moral reform and how faith in God serves as the one truth that can provide both individual and national guidance for America’s next revolution.

“A powerful reminder about why America is great and worth fighting for.”

—Lt. Colonel Oliver L. North, USMC (Ret.)

“Within this book Dr. Richard Lee clearly reveals how the intolerable conditions being forced upon the American people by Washington’s current administration will lead to a certain and powerful explosion of predictable consequences.”

—Michael Reagan

5.0 out of 5 stars Awsome book for EVERY American! April 20, 2012
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
Can't tell you how much we loved this book! This author gives a very thorough, but brief history of our country, how it was founded, and where we are headed at the moment if things don't change. It is an "all hands on deck" cry to Christians to get up and take back the country that God gave us to be the "city on the hill." The author speaks intelligently on all matters - he's a noted pastor, teacher, historian and even sits on the board at Oxford University in England. Never have I read a book that more strongly intertwines America's past and how we're losing her with what we're doing in the present. It's quite scary, and unless we do something, we're in for a huge surprise. Did you know that all of the previous presidents combined are not even close to amassing the debt that our current president has done - 5 trillion in just 3 years? Talk about throwing our country down the garbage chute! The author cites examples of what happened in other countries throughout Europe that followed our current president's plan; and their eventual downfall into poverty and debauchery.

The history is all there - grab this book if you're a parent of a teen that has no idea on how our country was formed. We have uneducated our children on America's history and if we continue this trend, then we will no longer have anyone around that will care about or even know why they should fight to keep America, America. The greatest country on earth! Highly recommend

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great look at the Political History of our Country April 17, 2012
Format:Hardcover
Given the current political climate in our country, especially at the begining of an election year, I thought it would be prudent to start sharpening my political focus, so I picked up The Coming Revolution: Signs from America's Past that Signal Our Nation's Future as my next book to read.

Lee has a very Republican/Conservative/anti-Obama viewpoint, so to many of my liberal friends he will be very hard to swallow. However, my conservative/Tea Party friends will find a lot of common ground with him.

One of the things I greatly appreciated about this book was how much historical perspective on our country was given. As we move into the election season, I think this is a must read for conservatives who are not happy with the way our country is heading because I think he gives a lot of advice from history as to how to get where we need to be. One thing he makes extremely clear is that the founding fathers assumed the country woukd be run by men and women of faith, they knew that a republic/democracy would not survive if there were not men and women of faith to run it...human nature is just too selfish. Overall, I would definitely recommend The Coming Revolution to anyone who is not happy with the current political environment or anyone who wants to read about how the faith of the nation's founders affected how they structured our country.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fight for Our Country February 18, 2012
Format:Hardcover
This review and many others are posted on my blog, www.mybookthoughts.over-blog.com. Please visit and share it!
The Coming Revolution by Dr. Richard G. Lee is a book published by Thomas Nelson publishers that comes out on January 31, 2012. I received this book from Thomas Nelson's Book Sneeze program in exchange for my honest review.
This book makes you think about the reasons that we had the American Revolution before, in 1776: freedom, unfair taxes, and religious freedom to worship God. Dr. Lee lets you see that America is going through the same choices and problems now. While this revolution may not include bullets and cannons, Americans need to stand up for what is right and fight against false religions that are invading our country, work for ourselves instead of taking government handouts, and the crazy taxes issue. Americans and Christians alike can see the direction that the country is going in, and do all we can to stop it. America, it's our duty to band together and fight for freedom. Do not let our country fail!
This was a powerful book; I would give it five out of five stars. While it is sad, the American people can stop this craziness and build our country to a better place while America is still considered the greatest country in the world, we need to work to keep it that way.
