Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

In both these books, readers will find all the information necessary to turn a puppy into a healthy, mature companion. The authors emphasize the special needs and unique characteristics of their breeds. Both list prominent kennels and top winners. There should be a demand for these books, as both are on popular breeds. Libraries with limited funds, however, could consider purchasing instead the American Kennel Club Staff's The Complete Dog Book (Howell, 1985) and Kathy Flamholtz's A Celebration of Rare Breeds ( OTR Publications, 1986), since both cover a variety of breeds in one volume. --Helen Sondrol, Lincoln Univ., Pa.

Format: Hardcover
I purchased this book when we brought our 8 week old eskie pup home. I knew he was a special, highly intelligent breed, but I didn't have a clue how to care/train him so he could develop to his full potential. I had so many unanswered questions concering our new baby.

This book became my "Eskie Instruction Manual" it has clear answers for every question I could think of and more!

I stongly feel every eskie owner should have a copy!

THANKS!!!
I own American Eskimo's (PR UKC and AKC) and I want to say how much my family and I love these little dogs. We enjoyed the book so much, it was well written and she expressed the same views we have on the American Eskimo. I have recommended this book to other American Eskimo lovers and will recommend it in the future. Thank you so much Barbarba Beynon,

JoAnn

My son got a puppy Eskimo and named it Kimo. I wanted to know more about the American Eskimo, so I purchased this book. It is very well written. Basically, Eskimos are part of the Spitz family of dogs with all the high spirit and friendliness one should expect. I love the Eskimo dog coat, it is incredibly easy to care for, mud just falls off it. All we need to do is keep up with the brushing and occasional trims of the sanitary area at the groomers.
