"...I've been living and riding in Colorado for over 10 years and every one of my favorite roads is listed, plus hundreds more that I now want to explore. The Complete Guide to Motorcycling Colorado is a fantastic guide to riding the state. It probably contains every paved road worth riding, as well as many mild dirt roads. And the included history makes great rides even better by giving the rider an appreciation of the men who built those roads and why." - by Jim Stanley, in Motorcycle Consumer News
"This book came across my desk at just the right time. This July I took a trip down south to North Carolina and Tennessee, where the temperatures were in the mid 90’s, with humidity to match. So I vowed to travel to a cooler climate next summer, and this book has inspired me to discover what Colorado has to offer." - by Ken "Hawkeye" Glassman, SpeedTV.com

I find that Mr. Farson has done an excellent job of capturing the essence of all the roads reviewed and his writing style is fantastic. It has opened up a whole new view of this state and given me many more places to explore and enjoy.
It is also a great reward, after buying the book, to be able to visit his web site with its interactive maps and videos of the roads of Colorado. I especially like where he has a historical picture of a town or site along with a current picture taken from the same angle. This is very informative and allows me to enjoy my rides even more.
This is a great way to plan your rides in the summer months and relive those rides in the winter.
Great Job Steve Farson.
Living over in the flatlands of Virginia and trying to get to Colorado to ride every few years, but thinking about it every day,any information that allows me to maximize our limited Colorado ride time is very important. I have just received his book and it is going to be extremely valuable to us Colorado vacationers as well as to those who are fortunate enough to live in that beautiful state.
Besides his xlnt writing style, he provides great detail and pics for the best roads and areas in Colorado.
Everyone who buys the book also receives a free membership to Mr Farson's website which has interactive maps and videos for every ride and area covered in the book. Again, very valuable for helpng you decide if the area is a place you want to ride. There is little guesswork in your route planning because you can see the actual roads from the saddle. Click on the icons and it takes you to a video of where you are looking to ride...not that there are any bad rides in Colorado...
Mr Farson's book is the best, most descriptive book written about Colorado roads to date..and I try to buy them all. He has also simplified my Christmas shopping this year because I will be ordering "The Complete Guide to Motorcycling Colorado" for all my riding friends.
A special feature of this unique motorcycling guide is its historical emphasis. Descriptions of events long past and the challenges faced and overcome by earlier visitors and residents are enhanced by the inclusion of historic photographs, many of which are paired with modern images taken whenever possible from the same vantage point. The author's love for the land and respect for it's previous inhabitants is woven into the texture of this delightful volume.
Rest assured that "Motorcycling Colorado" will be riding along as I explore Colorado next summer.
The ride to Caribou, for example, was short and sweet and without the book I wouldn't have ventured there. The mention of a dual purpose road connecting to Eldora caught my eye and turned an out and back into a perfect loop for a KLR and a couple of DR 650's. We were laughing and sweating and proud and the beer never tasted better than after that ride!
County road 68 between Magnolia Road and Boulder was another perfect ride for us. Even with a mounted GPS we couldn't find where 68 turned into the unmaintained dual purpose road. We knew it was there because it was in the book but finally a county worker had us drive to the end the road and turn right between a couple of big bushes. Ha! Sure enough, after squeezing through a space just wide enough for my handlebars we found what looked more like a rutted ditch than a road. Perfect off road adventure; even had a bear run out in front of me! Fortunately bears only eat KLR's for breakfast and we loped out near Boulder, driving down Flagstaff Mountain just as the sun was setting.

Awesome book. Great descriptions. I like the way the book is laid out in regions, rides, then suggested loops that combine several rides.
