I've played some Tennis (badly) when I was a teen, but am now returning to it in the name of fitness. Most of the Tennis books I found were written for people already 'into' the game, not coming to it for the first time, or retuning. Trish tells us how to get started with the sport well before it's time to step on to the court.
Once on the court, she shows you what's important first, like how to hold a raquet and your body, as well as what's important before and after playing, like stretching and hydration. For a phyicial fitness novice, this is exactly the info I need.
The only trouble I had is Trish's seeming assumption that it's easy to stay fit, limber and available to play with lots of people lots of the time. Maybe a section on 'Tennis for the very busy person' would suit me better.
Overall, this is the ONLY book I've found that makes me comfortable to approach Tennis again, and not afraid to get out there and look the fool for a time while I get the hang of it again.
