More About the Author

WOULD LOVE YOU TO LEAVE A REVIEW! :)

Dee Ann Waite writes action adventure thrillers. Her first novel, The Consequential Element is a military action thriller (with a touch of romance) that takes the reader on a full throttle international ride from the streets of Boston to the jungles of the Congo.

Her second novel, Mists of Bayou Rhyne is a Young Adult thriller set in the Mississippi Bayou and is due to be released March 30, 2015.

Her intense interest in psychology, along with her studies in that area, have led her to her third novel, a psychological thriller titled Where Demons Hide, scheduled for release late 2015. This is the first installment of a three book series.

A former private investigator, and the sister of four retired brothers from both the military and department of corrections, as well as former FBI ties, the military and law have been a strong influence and have played out heavily in her writing.

Along with being an author, she has dedicated her blog to helping new authors achieve their dream of completing a novel and offers coaching assistance online, as well as with small groups throughout her community.

I read the book while on a camping trip, so I had little to distract me from the story and I'm glad. The book is fast-paced and there's a trans-continental chase that ends in Africa. This is where the author excels. Her knowledge of the culture and conflicts is exemplary. She is unflinching in her descriptions when it comes to violence and those who inflict it, but she buffers the horror of guerrilla warfare with her love of the people and the land.

A very well written, well researched novel with a heroine who is both strong and vulnerable. The author takes the reader to the Congo with a fascinating story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's action-adventure with a hint of romance. Dee Ann is an excellent story teller and I look very forward to her next novel. I strongly recommend buying The Consequential Element. It's worth much more than the Kindle price!

Dee Ann Waite's The Consequential Element was a tour de force. I was hooked from the first page. I enjoyed reading the book mostly because the characters were so well-developed and enjoyable to read that I felt like I knew them. What I also liked about the book was that it not only had great characters, but an amazing storyline that was filled with drama and suspense. I found it to be hard to put down once I picked it up.

I highly recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a great read! Five Stars!!!

I loved reading "The Consequential Element." The fast paced intrigue and action held my attention and once I began to read the book I found it difficult to put down. I felt the characters and plot were well formed and well written. The setting of the story, the Dominican Republic of the Congo and Botswana, the view into the Congolese Rebels' Army of Children, and the creepy crawlies of the jungle, for me, heighten the intrigue.. It is well written, well researched and well worth the read..

I just finished reading "The Consequential Element"author D.A.Waite. I found this book engrossing and entertaining. It is refreshing to see the author did not get bogged down with over discriptive writing.I would like to commend the author for doing her homework. I chked on some of the people and placs and found them to to be accurate . Not that ac ury is necessary in a fictional book.
I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to the next .

The Consequential Element is a good pacey read with a strong female lead character haunted by her violent and historic past as a captive in war torn central Africa.

Years later her past comes back to her when she receives a valuable package from her uncle who has disappeared in the African bush. The package holds the key to a new rear earth element (REE) that can change or strengthen the balance of world politics and power for years to come.

The only trouble is, Danielle does not know who she can trust as the CIA and other agencies race to track her and the package down. The chase is on and the manhunt takes her and some mercenaries to central Africa and the where the plot thickens and more friends and foes enter the fray where the good and the bad are interchangeable and no one is who they appear to be.

In a desperate struggle between her previous captor, the Chinese hell bent on getting the REE and local militia, Danielle must stake all to save her uncle and those closest to her when the bullets fly and the converging elements meet in the final confrontation.

There are no brakes on this story. The author always goes full speed ahead. Think of the Bourne books but with a more coherent plot. Ms. Waite combines African rebels, CIA types, spies, double agents, a mysterious and important mineral, random psychopaths and mixes them up into a very good mystery. In dealing with spies and conspiracies, its' very easy to go over the cliff. Many, if not most, thrillers do.The plots become incoherent and just don't stand up under any type of logic. The author comes a bit close to the edge at times but brings all the threads together. There is also some very good prose. I was reading a female SF writer - award winning - before I read this book. Ms. Waite's prose is just as good, if not better, than the award-winning writer and, to me, her characters are more realistic.

Seriously this is a must to read her character was strong willed I could say Dee Ann had her work cut out for her, the research she would have done on this book would have taken her a while. But in the end she brought to life an ass kicking novel, i'm just so impressed how a walk in the jungle became a rescue mission but for Danielle it was all about revenge. In the end this novel so intrigued me that it made me see what she had seen. The black ops, the rescue, the uncertainty, the pain, the suffering and I am so glad she even gave us romance. Still she left me hungry for more and I so look forward to Danielle's and Kayden's continuing story.

From start to end left me with chills, fire and excitment, bring on the next one I'm ready.
