The Cosby Show appeared on NBC from 1984 to 1992, becoming one of the most popular programs in the history of television. The series depicted a close-knit and prosperous African-American family (The Huxtables) that dwelled in New York City. Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable, OB-GYN (Bill Cosby), and his attorney wife Claire (Phylicia Rashad), a happily married, dual-profession couple, had aspirations of raising their five children in a positive, uplifting environment. The Huxtables were truly a groundbreaking family for television. The Cosby Show was an instant smash hit, holding TV's #1 spot for a record five consecutive years (1985-1990), and it remained in the Top 20 shows for all eight seasons it was on NBC. The Cosby Show's popularity was so intense that it has carried over into the 21st Century, and now the Cosby Show is as relevant as it has ever been. The Huxtables are adored around the world.

I've been enjoying ALL of the previous DVDs in this series and this one was no exception. Good, clean, values-oriented scripts and a great cast of a family that respects and honors each other. Not in a way that seems totally impossible, but doable for sure!

My teenage son has really enjoyed the series and anything I can do to get him away from prime-time TV (garbage) is worth it. The price on these was great ($15 for two seasons)so I bought them all.

If you're considering buying the Cosby Show and you're reading this review, then I don't have to tell you how much I love the Cosby Show; chances are you know exactly what I mean. So, let's skip the formalities, shall we?
I bought them all (seasons 1-8) on DVD about 3 or 4 weeks ago and I haven't regretted it one bit. The discs were packaged well and secure, and they arrived in a timely manner. The only thing that seemed to be missing was the Chapter List from one of the Seasons - big deal. So why are you still reading my review?? Just buy it already! And enjoy :)

Cosby 7 AND 8
This is a great set, but not as good as the first sets. Perhaps it is because they are mostly grown up and some are not in the movie as much. It is clean and family fun.
