I am a vintage clothing nut, and I was looking forward to reading this book. I was not disappointed!
Ms Hawthorne has a light, entertaining style of writing, and has injected a good deal of humor into a subject that normally is a bit wanting in this regard.
There is a decidely British slant to this book, not surprising as the author is from England, but I feel anyone interested in vintage clothing will learn something from this book.
My only complaint is that there should have been more pictures and illustrations.
