Book Description

The subtitle of this book could have been “How to squoosh cancer in 20 weeks". Here is an excerpt from the book.

“The surgeon dropped what he thought would be a bombshell: 'We will have to remove almost half of the mobile part of your tongue.'

My lack of reaction must have surprised him. Not only had his Swiss counterpart already warned me, but after being told in Zurich that it would be two thirds, I had the distinct impression I was getting a bargain.

Perhaps I should have gone back to Switzerland to barter a bit more: 'Your colleague in France is offering me fifty percent. Can you make me a better offer?'”

5.0 out of 5 stars Peut on rire de tout? November 12, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Voilà une belle leçon de vie en moins de 100 pages. Manu Cornet écrit un livre intelligent, touchant et pertinent sur un de ces cruels hasards de la vie. Rien à dire. A lire, c'est tout.

5.0 out of 5 stars What's funny about cancer? November 10, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
When Manu looks back at his painless but gruesome battle with cancer he doesn't leave anything out:
That means we get his unique and funny perspective on even the most dire moments. We also get a full description of the absurdities and details of the situations. And a view into the mind of someone who can't speak, eat or even breath normally during some parts of the treatment.

For me this quick book was an great insight into the beast that is cancer. I hope some of Manu's learnings will rub off on me. And that I will eventually feel less guilty about how much I enjoyed his writing about his battle with cancer.

Now I'm really craving some Lamb Chops :)
