Editorial Reviews

Review

"Perfectionists and or craft snobs need not apply, this is for those of us who like to roll up our sleeves and dig deep into some sticky, glittery, gloopy fun!" --Madge, DIY Doyenne

"I'll be honest, I've seen a lot of the same types of crafts in many books. These ideas are unique and interesting, and perfect if you are looking for something different than anything you've seen before." --Amy, Mod Podge Rocks

This craft book is bursting with ridiculously fun and clever ideas! Who wouldn't want to make Felt Cactus Friends! And the Booby Trap Gifts section is hilarious!

The Crafter's book is a beautiful book full of clever and useful ideas. Almost every idea is for a an actual thing you will use. The directions are very clear, and the pictures help to make things easy to make. How would you like to make a fancy solar phone charger with suction cups, small solar panel, fabric and Mod Podge, etc.? I'm guessing that this book would be good for 10 year-olds to 90 year-olds. I love the fact that you get to see HIS craft and HER craft, similar but different. Nice job, and I hope there are more books coming!

If you want to buy a crafting book that sends you out to buy $4000 worth of supplies in order to create $2 pillows for your friends, then this is not your book. If, however, you decide to actually get creative and craft with stuff you might actually have, plus some little funzies (like extra glitter and bling) then you've found a gem. One of the authors of this book was an actual winner on a "craft to the death" type TV show (Craft Wars) where she competed with others to create cool projects out of impossible ingredients. She won. Nice job here and on the show!

I really got a kick out of the projects in this book, completely different from what you see everywhere else. One of my favorites is the "barb wire" booby trap box for wrapping a gift, brilliant! I also really loved the idea of using glitter and Mod Podge on colored plastic sheets to cut into mosaic tiles. The fake button spill is really fun too, a great idea for a paper weight. Oh and the felt venus flytrap is super cute! I don't have kids, but these projects look like they'd be really fun family weekend activities.
