About the Author

Kay Stockham always wanted to be a writer, ever since the age of seven or eight when she copied the pictures out of a Charlie Brown book and rewrote the story because she didn't like the plot. Through the years her stories have changed but one characteristic stayed true--they were all romances. Each and every one of her manuscripts included a love story. Published in 2005 with Harlequin Superromance, Kay's first release was a Waldenbooks Bestseller. Kay has also been a HOLT Medallion, Book Buyers Best and RITA Award nominee who has written fourteen books with Harlequin Superromance, and a novella with Berkley Publishing. I often approach a holiday-themed book with a bit of trepidation. I'm looking for that holiday sweetness and light, but so many of holiday books cross the line into saccharine-sweet and not enough conflict. I was happy to find that this book was not one of those.

When bush pilot Ty McGarrety wrecks in the Alaskan wilderness, his only hope comes from a voice in a town that's not on any map and that he never knew existed. When Holly Klaas comes to his rescue, she's everything her lovely voice promised, and more.

Holly's a lady with a lot of secrets - her "off-the-grid" town being the biggest one. But with a storm coming in and no way to get Ty to safety elsewhere, she has no choice but to offer him hospitality.

As Ty recovers from his injuries, attraction heats up between him and Holly - and the questions pile up. Why are the townspeople so secretive and suspicious of him? What does Holly do at her mysterious job? Suspense builds along with Ty's suspicions - and his and Holly's relationship. The story kept this reader guessing and wanting to know more. The ending - and answers to all of Ty's questions - are pure magic that's sure to satisfy. If you're looking for a romantic, holiday treat, The Crash Before Christmas is a do-not-miss!
