I first learned of Richard Fry through his reprinted articles on Cougfan.com. His writing and sense of history were so sharp, I took a chance and bought this book. What a find! Fry paints a vivid portrait of WSU Cougar athletics spanning 100 years. I couldn't put it down.

The Crimson and the Gray is a must read!
This book was so informative. It was an easy read and very hard to put down. I recommend this book to any one, even if they are not a "cougar."

It would be great if Dick could re-publish an updated copy that would include the two Rose Bowl trips, three consecutive ten win seasons of football, (the era of years 1990 to present.) Pleasantly surprised to see that my former KWSU sportscasting statistician Bob Guptil contributed to the book. Dick helped so many of our careers when we were fledgling CUB reporters of Cougar sports.

Very happy with the condition of the book. My brother-in-law graduated from WSU where her played football as a quarterback in 1955-1959. He loved the book and remembered so many of the names. He went on to become a football coach for Bothell High.

One of my few hits as a gift with my Brother-in-law. Thank you.
