Well written by knowledgable authors but Kindle not appropriate for this.
Put in e-book form. Music does not show up well on small screens.
Thank you

Format: Kindle Edition
This is a great collection of pieces and commentary which can serve the both the interests of the casual inquirer and the aspiring player of the Cuban Tres. The common forms of Cuban music are discussed with clear examples in standard notation and tab. The thing I like about it is that provided you know the basics of the instrument you can dip into any example anywhere without the need to progress step by step through the book. There are audio links provided for all the examples together with links to some modern Cuban studio recordings of the tres in very good band. It's not just a tutorial book but also a review of the genre. Watch out if you tune your tres to G C E as this book has everything a pitched tone higher as A D F#. I find a capo at fret 2 solves that problem very well although the written notation needs a bit a of rethinking. In case of doubt use the tab. Otherwise buy some lighter strings and set the tuning as the book. Leonel plays with a unison 1st string pairing but you still can use the octave tuning if you prefer.
